This is a Mom and Pop auto repair shop. Mom, Judy and Pop, Jerry run a well oiled machine here. I am an experienced mechanic and they do all my repairs on my 2012 Odyssey. You need an appointment and it takes a few days to get your car in but the work is spot on. Judy manages the work flow and Jerry does the hands on. Very fair and professional work done on my cars over the past 5 years.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.. Never trust taking a FOREIGN car here. I have a 98' BMW M3 and they misdiagnosed my a/c system replacing the wrong part and allowing my air to be cold for 2 hours! That's it.. WILL NEVER TRUST THEM WITH MY CAR AGAIN. BAD MECHANICS.

I took Minivan in there to have A/C compressor replaced along w/ fan belt, Evaporator, Dryer, and have system recharged. They charged me $920.00 and not only didn't fix the problem, but broke my actuator for recirc door and refused to replace it. They obfuscated, talked in circles and would not and did not stand behind their work. In fact, they tried to charge another $1k dollars to get the A/C in working order. After they fleeced me and stole my money I learned that A/C Compressor Kits are available for about $150 dollars for this vehicle (and all vehicles) and my labor to install this was $250.00 Our family now has A/C in the van for the 1st time since Ice Cold Air couldn't do the work of replacing an A/C compressor kit.

Scam alert! Rennen Imports will scam you! Avoid using this “repair shop.” The idiot with the annoying British accent knows nothing about Porsche or German motors. Read the previous reviews, the negative reviews are very accurate. This scammer “repair shop” tried to tell me that my Porsche was dead, and their only option was a new motor starting at around $22,000. After paying to have my car towed here and back home, then paying for their fraudulent diagnosis, I had to pay yet again to have it towed to a REAL repair shop where they were able to determine that it was a $900 part and after labor, everything was going to cost $10,500. A big difference from $22,000. Then when given a chance to make things right, the idiot tells me he was never going to repair the engine, he would have just bought a new engine to put in, even though that contradicts what he had previously said when he told me it was going to cost $22,000 to “repair,” not replace the engine. Even when given the chance to make things right, this place tried to argue and blame me. The idiot then told me it was my fault that I bought a worthless car and there was nothing he could do. Obviously, I should have read all the previous reviews for this place, as the previous reviews are loaded with customers experiencing the EXACT same garbage service. Read the reviews, look at the other people who were “quoted” insanely high prices and all went elsewhere and paid LESS THAN HALF what Rennen quoted. Previous reviews: Rennen quoted $4,000 – Customer got the repair done for $569 Rennen quoted $800 – Customer got the repair done for $500 Rennen quoted $669 – Customer got the repair done for $239 And that’s just the ones who took the time to write a review for this scammer shop. This doesn’t even include all the negative reviews that all have the same theme: brought my car to Rennen Imports, got the car back and this was broken, that was broken, and Rennen Imports takes ZERO responsibility for breaking anything. In closing, you have a scammer “repair shop,” up-charging customers for repairs by hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, and if that wasn’t bad enough, they’d break stuff on your car and claim they had nothing to do with it. If you like your car, enjoy not being scammed, and don’t want to spend 10 times what repairs should cost; I would HIGHLY suggest going literally ANYWHERE else. You would be 100 times better off trying to repair your car yourself with zero experience or knowledge of cars, since this would still be a more experienced and knowledge than any person working on your vehicle at Rennen Imports.

Only place I will take my BMW for repair. Ladies, this is the one place where being a female doesn't feel like they will take advantage of you. Fair, honest, fast, efficient team and also do a great job detailing your car. Always excellent customer service! -Suzanne

9/9/17. My daughter trying to decide to leave Tampa got some bad gas and is broke down. I called from Pensacola Fl. and Pernell answered and said he would go see what he can do. I pray for him and my daughter. Time is running out. I wait to hear from him. I pray he can get her car running.

My daughter's truck broke down while at USF and Robert from RJL repaired it quickly for very reasonable cost. I live a few hours from Tampa, so I called him after finding his shop on this website. He even offered to tow her truck if it couldn't make it to the shop. He was honest and only repaired what was broke and did not try to con her into anything more. Thanks Robert, I'll refer all the USF parents I know to your shop from now on.

I searched everywhere to find someone I could trust. Tons of questions and costs for things to be repaired or replaced. All this was because of a prior visits to another place who just looked at it and told me it needed a new transmission. When I finally contacted Engines and Transmission I felt by just talking to them I was at the place I needed to be. They took the time to answer questions, they picked up my vehicle, they called me at different steps to inform me of what they found. I went from thinking that I was going to have to replace/rebuild my transmission to items that were done in a much faster time and what was really needed. Living on a budget and worried about the cost...........I can not thank them enough for being so helpful, kind and considerate. I will return for checkups on a vehicle I had only had for 5 months and knew nothing about - but now I do. To everyone at Engines and Transmission but especially Ashley, Kate and Jason.. I had got a price on getting the check engine light fixed at another shop in the area and was quoted right at $1000.00. I brought it in to Auto Air Muffler and Brake City in South Tampa and had it repaired at a cost of $260.00 and the light has not been on and I have already put over 1200 miles on the truck! They fixed the truck issue real fast and were really courteous and professional. I will never go anywhere else for service on any of my vehicles. Did an excellent paint job and checked other parts of the car. This is a Father and son business with over 30 years of ASE certified experience.
