Brake repair service near Bellwood, IL

I stopped at the place to check loud noise seemingly coming from my tires, but after a "dedicated" checkup i was given a quote for 960$. The Problem was both my front wheel bearings, they said. The price of each bearing without the labor was over 300, the guy told me. I took the car elsewhere and they fixed it for 250$ with labor. Apparently it was left rear bearing that was wrong, not the two front ones as they told me in Cassidy Tire and service. I replaced my rear bearing and the car is running like new. IF there was a place to upload pictures i would upload the quote i got from Cassidy Tire and Service and the place that i actually fixed my car in. How can a licensed mechanic tell me two of my front wheel bearings are bad, when actually it was a rear ? I'm so glad i didn't fix my car there and i advising everyone i know to do the same

Hands DOWN the best service in town. They are honest, and always do everything to accomidate me. They support my older car nd give me real options on how to proceed when I need to choose the best repair options. I can't say enough good things about the Great service they offer every time I am in. Had car towed there with recommendation from brother. Would not even offer a ballpark figure for repair. He had car for 3 days, total came to $238.04. Picked up car, greasy fingerprints on door handle, hood, side of car. Inside smelt like a hobo mechanic had been sleeping in it. Driver side floor mat covered in grease,radio presets wiped out. Most shops lay paper down inside to keep greasy boot prints out, they wipe down the outside of the car if they mess it up. Better places will even reset your clock and radio stations if they unhook battery. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they fixed the brakes. Will not go back in future.

I just wanted to thanks these guys as a whole. I brought my SAAB in for an oil service. I spoke to the tall service manager. He was helpful and explained I had 3 open recalls on my SAAB then one is related to my seat belts. This is why I always like going back to the dealership to have my SAAB repairs completed. I have taken at least three vehicles to these guys over the last four or five years and have had major spring and shock work done to the cost of something like two thousand dollars. These were older vehicles and needed a lot of work. The work was solid and the price was usually the best offer around. This place is old school and has been around for decades. When I want to cut the BS and get the job done I just remember these guys. They always take me to the vehicle once its up in the air and show me exactly what needs to be done before they start. The price always seems right once I see the amount of work they have to do.

When someone ran into the back of my Chevy Traiblazer, I was shocked to learn that I would be responsible for my $500.00 deductible. Times are tough and if it was not for The LINCOLN BOBYSHOP AUTO REPAIR paying my deductible, I would not have been able to have my Trailblazer repaired. You even cleaned the interior of my truck, it was a pleasant surprise.

I had my car towed and alternator done in February. Fast, efficient, great service. They told me about my bearing (which I already knew), but also said I didn't have to get it done right away. I could drive on it a few more months. And I did. Just went back in May 15th 2012 for my muffler. It had rusted and the pipe split in half. They fixed it, my bearing, and an oil change for $220. The bearing alone, I had been quoted $250 every place I had called. Took 3 hours. They started work on my car right away and a great warranty. I love this shop.
