Alternator took a dump, found this mechanic shop in Plainfield, IL, near me, towed it in and bam got lucky left 3 hours later. This Plainfield auto repair shop is on top of their game. Thanks for getting me in and back on the road so quick and cost effectively.

I took my car in not knowing what to expect after my daughter had hit a curb hard and also noticing weird noises coming from my fairly newly bought used car. 59 Auto took it right in and fixed it very quickly and it didn't cost nearly as much as I had feared. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I own Douglas Automotive Repair Inc and am sorry you experienced some quality issues with our shop. I am a certified technician and have been for 35 years. We always use high quality parts in our repairs; through the years we’ve been in business we’ve found that it just doesn’t pay to use lower quality parts unless it’s a customer request to keep costs down. We did have a period where we were having employee quality issues, but have since resolved those. It’s very unfortunate that it impacted some of our customers as we worked through it. Customer feedback is important to us and I want to thank you for sharing yours. We continually strive to make sure we give high quality service and our customers are satisfied.

First Choice should be your ONLY choice! I highly recommend these guys to ANYONE! Always professional, very knowledgeable and most importantly they take extra care to make sure the parts being replaced really NEED to be replaced! You never have to worry about them taking advantage of you wife, daughter, sister or friend; you can rely on their honesty and integrity; you will never be overcharged or have any unnecessary work done simply because they think ‘she’ does not know any better. These guys will take you back and show you what needs to be repaired/replaced and even dumb it down if need be. You are always given the option to buy your own parts elsewhere; new or used... or if it’s more convenient then you can trust them to get it for you... Your choice. Lastly, their customer service is A+! It’s all about even the smallest of details like the warm & welcoming family-like atmosphere and caring owners/staff that are willing to go that extra mile... I was once in a pinch and these guys picked me up and dropped me off which helped make a bad situation (a broken vehicle) a bit more bearable. Meineke in Joliet is horrible now! The new "manager/owners" have taken over. The good mechanic is gone. I have been a long standing Meineke customer and when I called today to ask for my mechanic Mark, I was told he "Is no longer working here" (very rudely)! So I asked to speak to Vern and I was told he was busy and to call him later, also very rudely!!! I will find someone else to fix my cars from now on!
