Brake repair service near Park Ridge, IL

Called to get the engine seals replaced, he said they do that repair but it was miss diagnosed and hade me spend over $600.00 with no result complete rip off, put a faulty part on my car which I needed replace again within a year, did not acknowledge. I would not recommend this shop for any work on the car

I was stranded 50 miles from home and got my car towed here, I was a little nervous not knowing anything about the shop or the area. John was very nice and assured me that they would find out what was wrong, I wondered at what cost..The car was looked at and the cost was very reasonable, being a woman I was concerned they were going to try and overcharge me because I had no other option but to go there. Even though I live so far away I would definitely bring my car here again for service, a nice honest mechanic/repair shop is hard to find but this place rocked!

I was having a intermitant brake problem 2 other shops where not able to figure out. The guys at rk auto got it figured out on my first visit. It ended up not even being my brakes, but instead a faulty axle causing my antilock brakes to come on at slow speeds sometimes. Very happy with repair & price.

I had a terrible experience dealing with this company. I will be sure to call the Illinois Commerce Commision at 1-800-524-0795 to file a complaint and may possibly take my case to small claims court. Hayes has been around since the 80's my parents took their cars to them and now I do. They are straight forward and fair. I am never worried about what is being repaired as they keep me well informed and aware what is needed and when.
