I brought my car in to get fixed and as I was explaining the issue to the mechanic his phone rang. While I was talking, without saying "excuse me I need to take this" or "can you hold on a minute" he picks up the phone and just walks away. After I waited for a couple of minutes thinking surely he is coming back , he never came back and never apologized. It was as though he wanted me to leave and that is exactly what I did. How unprofessional! On top of that when we got the car back from them it was worse than it was before! The owner said he would have someone look at it the next day and it was been three days and still have heard nothing! They don't communicate with you about the problems with your car and they pretend as though they did nothing wrong. I do not suggest this shop to anyone.

Jimmy is the owner, his father was Jerry since has passed..Has been in VW repair business for over 40 years....He was a pleasure to deal with, and an expert mechanic on vintage VW's! Honest, and trustworthy...Replaced shorted harness, headlamp switch, fuse buss bar, with OEM Volkswagon parts! In addition, replaced a leaking gasket exhaust gasket...Job took about a day to complete, and final price was very reasonable. Jimmy is a good guy!

I wanted to write this review because of the great customer service and quality workmanship I received at Champion Auto Center. Being female you are at a disadvantage when discussing auto repairs (at least some of us), but Ms. Alba was the most helpful person I have had to deal with, she explained everything and did not nickel and dime me on what my car needed besides what was wrong with it. The only place in New Orleans that actually knows the older Porsches, Randy started working for his father as a young teenager. He can fix problems with the older cars that others won't even touch. I have never been disappointed in the service, and I can 100% tell you that fixing cars is exactly what they do- Greff is a reliable German car specialist who treats every car like his own.... if anyone says differently they apparently haven't been there.

This place a rip off before changing the tires the front end man and the tire changer checked the front to see if something was wrong, at which time the tire changer then removed the tire for the new ones. After a while I inquired when was the front end alaignment was to begin when I was told waiting on a price for parts as to my surprise, yes another over $1000.00 when I should have been told before tire new tires was put on, so now I have tires on my truck but still needs rack and pinion for no alaignment so the tires will not be warrantied if something happens total rip off never recommend them are go there. I have been knowing of and using Diagnostic Auto Repair since the 1980s. Rikey and Paul have been and remain in business in Laplace for a simple reason. These guys know what they are doing and are the best I have found who explain the service or repairs you need and why and do the job right. Being a retired mechanic and auto collector and enthusiast all my life, I know. It is extremely hard for me to let anyone touch my vehicles as I used to do most of my own repairs and for my friends and family until I became disabled in 2006. But I would bring the jobs too big for me to handle to Diagnostic with confidence. Well since I have no choice now, I trust only one auto shop in the area. D.A.Repair as they are the most professional, first class repair shop in the Laplace area. They been doing it a long time and continue to offer very quick and quality repairs.
