This is the very best Auto Place to go to! I have been going for years and they have successfully serviced both of my vehicles. Extremely pleasant, reasonable prices and they care about their customers. I feel at home and always get excellent service! Oh and Gary is the BESTtttttttt. Never disappointed with his customer service. He's knowledgeable and able to multitask along with being resourceful.

I used to have descent service with this place and I had started using this place years ago. They use to be a family owned place and his son was a good honest kid who seemed to care very much about giving you good work at an honest price but unfortunately his son left this place years ago and his father Chris the owner hired a bunch of lazy guys who do shady work and service. They could care less about his business and the service they do. You rarely ever see Chris there anymore because either he’s on vacation or sitting back relaxing and just letting these guys do whatever they want. In February of 2019 my transmission went out on my 2002 Buick Rendezvous and they claimed they could do the work for $2000 and that there were no other problems to be seen on this vehicle. Well me like a fool decided to let them do the work and they promised a three year warranty. They ended up saying during the process of doing it that it was a special transmission and it was going to cost more which turned into $3300. I agreed like an idiot and I had the work done. Within a month later the head gasket blew on the vehicle which they quoted at $2800. I felt in too deep with this vehicle now and I had it done. Three months later the power steering rack went out on the vehicle. I then paid $1200. Throughout the months the vehicle kept overheating and they kept replacing hoses and charging me more and more money. It finally quit overheating and here we are a year later. All of a sudden the transmission starts messing up on me again. I took it back and they claimed it was the spark plugs and charge me an additional $330. Two days later the transmission breaks down completely. Chris called and he doesn’t even remember that he replaced my transmission. I had to have him check the receipts in his computer and then he says he’ll replace it for free. Two days later he calls and says it would cost me $900 to take it off to check it and that it’s most likely the outer box which would run me an additional $1800. He then has the nerve to say he would sell me his old Dodge Caravan for $1800 in case I was interested. I knew it was time to call it quits and I had it towed away. Altogether I paid this guy $10,798.62 and he couldn’t even remember the work he did for me or honor my supposed warranty. You’re nothing but a dollar sign to this man and he could care less about you as a customer! I know I’m a sucker but I beg you take your vehicle to any of the thousands of other auto shops in Michigan. This man is a con artist and he’ll take you for everything you have. Find somebody that is at least honest and fair. I know that sounds easier said than done but at least look further than this man! I hope my story helps your decision and thanks for reading!

My previous mechanic was booked solid so I decided to try Tuffy on recommendation from a friend. My car was running poorly again, after being "fixed" a few months prior by my last mechanic. The guy at Tuffy explained that he did it all wrong, and told me he could fix it but advised me to take my car back to the last place and make them do it properly. He didn't even charge me for diagnostics. A+++.

I contacted Troy Engel who is supossed to run this shop, I took my vehicle to him to have it repaired. I had my vehicle towed to Bayliss Auto Shop and told them I suspected the timing chain has failed, but I'm no mechanic. Troy Engel said he would inspect the vehicle and let me know what was going on. He would never contact me. I always had to try to contact him to get an update. I finally did get in touch with him and he confirmed the timing chain did fail and it resulted in blowing the heads. He gave me a verbal quote of 2,500 dollars and estimated it would take them 6 weeks to complete the break down and rebuild of the engine. I asked him if I would be better off just buying a new engine and he told me no it will be cheaper rebuilding the engine thats in vehicle. So I agreed to have repairs done. After contacting him numerous times throughout the next 6 weeks "he never contacted me once with updates" . It was finally done and he told me the bill was 2900 . When I went to pick the car up I started it and the exhaust was super loud, and that wasn't the case when he got the vehicle. He told me it would be another 100 dollars to fix the exhaust he messed up and I would need to bring the car back in a couple days for the repair. So I paid the entire bill took the car home let it sit took it back a couple days later to have exhaust fixed. So I paid him a total of 3,000 dollars. The day after I picked the vehicle up it stalled out on the freeway just like initally did the first time. So I had the car towed back to his shop " Bayliss Auto" . I called him the next day and he informed me that my car needed a new engine. So after paying $3,000 for repairs I'm back at square 1. He then tells me he couldn't get me an engine. And I would need to find one myself. So long story short if I could give this company 0 stars I would. I ended up picking my car up in pieces and Bayliss kept the freshly rebuilt heads. I had to pay another shop 3,000 dollars to do what should have been done the first time. Troy Engel was very rude to me throughout the whole proccess he had my car for over 2 months. So please if your reading this do not take your car to this shop. You will be taken advantage of when your in a very vulnerable position . I don't see how this company is still in business. I will definitely be taking legal recourse against Bayliss Auto as they have vilolated many codes of the michigan motor vehicle service and repair act.
