Oil change service near White Lake, MI

I've been working with J&D for longer than I can remember... I can't imagine going anywhere else...They are always there when I need them!

I still can't get over how smoothly my car is running! Thank you for the great service, hospitality, and explaining things in an understandable way. I usually dread taking my car into anywhere for service but I feel like I now have a trusted place to visit when needed. Usually, they provide great and fast service I have been going there for years, however, the last time I was there I was told there was an additional charge for a service (topping off my antifreeze) that is always provided with the cost of the high mileage oil change. Long story short, I left under the impression that all fluids had been topped off, and I was wrong the mechanic never told me he did not top off my antifreeze. About a month later I had a blown head gasket and, of course, it is my fault. I guess the sum of the story is be aware of all the fine print and services offered.

This review is for Auto Center of Canton which I presume is the new name for this shop. I drove my 2000 Volvo S80 to get it diagnosed because the engine kept missing even after new parts were replaced. This took place on October 16th of 2019 and all I've been getting about this problem is the runaround from a mechanic named Rich. Initially I was told that the engine may need to be replaced with a price tag of $2700.00. I went out to the shop to put half of the deposit for the engine and then was told that the engine was fine, but it was the engine control module that was in need of repairs. Instead of Rich contacting me of the status of the module, I've had to keep calling and then Rich never calls back when he says. It's been over a month of waiting and this is unacceptable as my wife needs to be cared for and taken to her oncologist for cancer treatments at U of M hospital. At this point and right now, I want my car back with the original module and my $500.00 since nothing but waste time has been done. I caution anyone considering this place for repairs as they are just monkeying around and wasting people's time and money.

I was given a verbal estimate of the costs to fix and the estimate was correct. They promptly went to work on the vehicle. I am always pleased with the amount of effort these guys put out in order to resolve the source of my problem. See you agin soon.

these guys are great. they kept me informed on the progress and had it done when they said it would be, with no additional price increases. their honest and they get it done when they say they will. thanks kevin and crew.
