Engine repair service near Hazelwood, MO

My 2006 VW Passat had been losing oil consistently for 2 years now. Many trips to the Dealership and I was told this was normal oil consumption . Not convinced I found Autos of Europe and explained the situation to the Service Manager. He seemed very knowledgeable of my situation and convinced me to bring the vehicle in for a second opinion telling me they run into this all the time. Brought my car in on Monday and had a diagnosis the same day, yes, the same day. I informed them I had an extended warranty and they worked with my warranty company to have the turbocharger replaced and the PCV system repaired, the warranty covered all the repairs. 2 years at the dealer with no result, never again.

I had Schiele replace a motor in my 65 F100. I provided the used motor to replace the existing one. I was very happy with the result. The mechanic's name was Aaron. As an example of how conscientious he was, he put a little oil in the cylinders and cranked it before actually trying to start it. This was probably a very good idea since the motor hadn't been run in a while. Aaron was willing to explain anything he was doing and didn't seem to mind that I came around often during the work. Took my motor to Button’s Machine Shop to be rebuilt. The owner Doug claimed to do all the work, but it was clear he didn’t boil the block properly and clean the internal lines. Had $3K tied up in the rebuild. The motor lasted exactly 28 miles. Yep a mere 28 miles before it locked up. When the pan was pulled there was so much gas in the oil it wasn’t funny. Ring issue? Now just today while idling on the lot. A rod came through the side of the block in the same hole that Doug said he fixed. MY ADVICE………….TAKE YOUR MOTORS ELSEWHERE. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!!!

Brought car in for brake repair estimate and received nothing but heartache. Estimate was very high and shop admitted additional damage done on unrelated brake components while doing inspection to fix minor brake repair. Shop refused to fix damage caused during inspection upon learning I had decided not to have Meineke complete any repairs needed. Brought car to another repair shop and fixed ALL work, including damage done by Meineke during inspection, at half of Meineke's original estimate to fix car. Filed to BBB ---case is pending. STAY AWAY and save yourself time and pain.

Great people work here. I took in an old 1972 351C block because of some stuck bolts I couldn't get with my tools at home. They got it off with no problem, they didn't charge me for anything. I had planned on paying for the use of the tool and a few minutes but they wouldnt let me. Definitely where I am taking my business from now on.
