$150 to repeat what I told them the problem was. $800 higher than the next highest estimate. $1,300 more than the lowest. Very cordial if you don't mind paying a small fortune for "customer service".

Listen to everyone with a negative experience with this shop! Avoid it at all costs! The only positive reviews I’ve found seem to be close friends of the owner. Real good ol’ boy shop. Very friendly until they get your car. After that, good luck getting it back in any reasonable amount of time or getting ANY customer service. Very rude owner and mechanics. Will work on your car at their leisure with no care to how long it takes. Will not return your calls. If you do manage to actually catch the owner or a mechanic they are annoyed to even talk to you. If you try and get an estimate of time you get a blow off answer of “a couple more days”. Then another week goes by with no calls or work done. Get your estimate in writing as well! They don’t seem to want off the street customers. My story. I took my car in for a blown head gasket from an overheat which was my fault. They told me it would take a couple of days. It sat in front of the shop for five days before they even took it in the shop. I asked that they check for a cracked block before they tore into the engine. They ignored me. I had to insist they check the bearings. When they relented they found they were shot. When they got it back to together they couldn’t get it to run. They pulled it apart again and found the rings were seized to the pistons. They made a big deal on how they had to tear the engine down again acted like they were doing me a giant favor for fixing a problem they missed. After three weeks of call backs I finally got me car back. They never could tell me what caused the over heat in the first place. Two weeks later car overheated within 30 seconds and blew a head gasket. I took it back and they tried to refuse their warranty and blame it all on me. After several weeks the owner told me he was working on it whenever he had “spare time” since warranty work didn’t make him any money! I took my suv back in August for Ac repair front and rear. Thought it got repaired it's April and Ac is not working if I bring Ac in for repair the Ac shouldebeen repaired not patched to have to bring back later but then warranty don't cover repairs because they claim it's leaking from hoses. The I'm told other problems about my vehicle I didn't even ask about. Not satisfied and they weren't helpful at all

I brought my car in for an oil change and some diagnostics were performed. I needed new tires and my battery registered low. In checking prices around town for the same tire recommended New Concept had a lot more fees than other places. Therefore, I chose to go somewhere else. In regard to my battery, my car started, but there was some hesitancy. I decided to go to Advance auto to have it tested and replace it if necessary and found out the positive cable was slightly disconnected which was obvious. Advance auto tightened the cable, tested it and all is good. They even tested my alternator. The loose cable should have been recognized by New Concept. They also forgot to reset my oil button to 100%. I have had good service in the past, but this trip was disappointing.

On 7/28/14 I took truck in for new spark job. On screen and printed flyer a summer special discount of $25 on any service over $100. I stated that I didn't want new wires. I waited over 2 hrs while mechanic said engine was too hot to work on. They first called be to the shop because they said the wires were too old to save. Then they called me back to show me the broken plug with contact tip missing. They next showed be the same plug with more of it missing insisting that it had been broken already. They soaked the threads with penatrating oil over night. The next morning they broke off all the plug with wrench flats. Two more days later they drilled out and removed the plug with an easy-out. They said I would have to pay for the easy-out tool and 2 1/2 hours of extra shop labor. This seems excessive for drilling out one plug and backing it out with an easy-out. The final bill was $532.68 and they took away the $25 special and $10 off the 96.92 wire set. they had on the earlier estimate claiming it was to pay for the easy-out. Lee Curtis
