Brake repair service near Midland Park, NJ

Took my car in for four new tires. Was told an hour. Over two and a half hours later, paid and headed home. On reviewing the work in the daylight, no caps were installed on three of the new valves. I couldn't tell if there was a cap on the fourth valve because they had hammered on the hubcap over it....... On further inspection I found that all of the wheel balance weights had been left only partially tapped on, and that they had up to four weights in the space of only eight inches or less along the rim. It looked as though they just kept adding them on. Took the car there and they said they'd put on valve caps and re-balance the tires. The desk guy came over in the middle of the redo and said very happily"the balance was only a little off". Okay, well that means that it was off, right???? I leave the place again in the dark and reinspect the van the next day in the light. Two caps on the tire valves fit, and two other caps that were too small were jammed just on the tips of the other two new valves???? The new tire weights were also not fully installed and masses of them clumped around the rims. I think this place just wants to wear you down so you get sick of going back complaining. I mean really, Two trips and they can't even put caps on the new tire valves??????? This place is awful. Two other customers there complaining in the two times I was there. Stay away, they're clueless and hope you are as well.

A year ago, I was in an accident and called Livingston Collision to tow it for me. They not only assisted with the tow, but they also helped me through the entire insurance negotiation. They were able to negotiate with my insurance adjuster and ultimately helped in proving the car was totaled and making sure I got back the fair market value for the car. I pulled in for a NY state auto inspection around 5:30 pm. Despite looking very busy I was accommodated in a few minutes They provided the inspection quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very courteous, the task was finished then I was on my way. I would recommend this shop to anyone and will return when I be require service or repair in the future.

The first-time visit on a Saturday and they treated me like a long-time customer. Very professional and they all know what they are doing. Fair pricing and fast service. A rarity especially in Hunts Point. My mechanic retired after 25 years with him and I've been looking for a place I can trust to take my car for anything I may need. I hope I found the place. This is the worst towing company. They almost broke my wheel! Couldn't tow my car. Tried to tell me what was broken, but couldn't show me any evidence when I asked. AAA needs to drop them. No one has even apologized to me.

Never again will I go to PEPBOYS . Made an appointment for 10am. Just needed new tires, oil change, and wipers. Stayed there more than four hours. 3 hours in and they hadn’t even put my car on the alignment rack. I was late for work.
