Collision repair service near Ridgewood, NJ

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago. A car just rear ended me and I ended up going through the other person's insurance. I was recommended to go to Joe's Auto Body in East Orange by their insurance company, as it was very close to where I live. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Glen and his staff, from Joe's Auto Body. Everyone was so nice and very welcoming. As soon as I dropped off my car, they had a person from enterprise pick me up. My car was in the shop for a total of two days. Every day I would receive an email with a picture of my car and what they were doing at that time. I thought this was awesome, and honestly, I never heard of any other shop doing this. My car was a mess, I dropped it off the morning I got back from New Hampshire, I was rather embarrassed about how messy it was. I was shocked the day I picked it up from Joe's. It had been completely detailed and cleaned. It must have taken them a good couple of hours to just clean and wash everything. I recommend Joe's Auto Body to everyone!! I will certainly be going back for any maintenance I need done in the future!

This place is the worse I've ever been to. The owner dudley tries to fast talk you and justify the garbage work performed. The fenders they put on was incorrect and rubbing against the tires causing me to buy more tires. They also didnt straighten out the fram correctly causing the entire car to shake and rattle.. The car sounds ten times worse than it ever did. Please no one should ever go there.

Today (Oct.3rd,2012) I felt like I won the lottery!! Today I found an HONEST auto shop. My car wouldn't work for a couple of days, nothing electrical was working. My regular mechanic, who has checked my car inside and out, told me that I probably needed to get a new ($800.00) alternator. But the wonderful people at Jays Auto Body quickly found the real reason: the clamps connecting the battery had become rusted, and with sandpaper, they easily fixed the problem,by removing the rust. Even though for years, my regular mechanic had been telling me that they had been checking my battery during routine inspections. Jays Auto Body also inspected my front brake pads & rotors, when another auto shop tried to scare me into buying new ones every year, or I would have an accident with my brakes.But when Jays Auto inspected my rotors; they said that they were just fine. Helpful and courteous in my time of need. Thank you for getting to me so quickly when my car broke down. I would recommend them if in need of a tow while in the NYC area.

Be careful when doing business with Quality one auto. They are unprofessional, use only off market parts, do not use quality paint and take a long time to get the car done. Make sure to get a itemized bill because they do not like offer proof of the service they render. The quality service is very poor.
