I am fairly new to New York. You hear often the stereotypes of a dog-eat-dog world. So looking for a mechanic, and honesty, is not an easy task. However, I was in a jam and needed to find one. I came across the reviews for Hughes Motor Corp, and I was immediately impressed to make a call. Vinny answered (he's part of a duo with Kevin). He was very friendly and assuring when I told him about the problems with my Durango. I had AAA tow the car to their workshop in Yonkers. These guys are professional, efficient, and you get your car back within the time frame that is estimated. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop, they are a great team. They will take care of your problems and put you at ease. Cars are expensive toys, what you hope to get is a decent repair job at a fair price. These guys provide both, you'll be in good hands. This summer I was looking for a place to do some work on my Land Rover Evoke, The crew at Ideas First Automotive, (IDFR the also call it...)Helped me decide witch part would be suitable to pimp My ride...We did custom Stainless Steele Front and rear bars and a set of running boards, They look beautiful. Absolutly terrible customer service. Went in for simple auxiliary port repair on my radio, a week later at promised date the owner said his guy was on vacation. Went back a week later at next promised date and he said and I quote "oh Yea what happened to that," and I have never seen my radio again or received any compensation, the radio worked perfect except the port. Hundred dollar radio essentially stolen.

Came in to have a rear and front steel bumper protector installed. Customer service with Victor was excellent. Price was also great. I came in on a Wednesday thinking it would not be busy. Had to wait about 3 hrs. But I was comfortable under the AC Thanks to everyone who assisted me. I will refer my friends to this place of business.

The only reason why I gave it 1 star is because I had to in order to rate them. In beginning of July 2015 I purchased a back up camera for my fiancé's 2010 BMW. Now this was supposed to be a surprise for her birthday which was in August. After speaking to Mike who is the owner, we agreed on a price of $600. He drew up a contract, I then paid the bill in full and received my receipt. He stated that he would call me in approximately a week when he received the items. After a week went by I called him and he informed me that he needed a few more days. I called him back a week later and the items still were not there. I then explained to him that this was crazy and I was going cancel and to go to a different Auto place and he begged me to give him a couple of more days. I then called back another week later and he still had not received it, and my fiancé's birthday was a little over a week away. So I asked him why couldn't he order the items from another place? He stated to give him a couple of minutes he was going to see if he could get it from different place and call me back. He called me back and said he had located it at a different place and he had ordered it. He advised me that he would receive it in 2 to 3 days. In the 3 days he did receive it which was July 29th. I asked him if he could install it on the 29th or the 30th because I was going on a family vacation on the 31st. He then stated that he was backed up with cars, mind you I had originally explained to him that I wanted it installed before my fiancé's birthday which was August 2nd. He said if I wanted, I could leave the car and it would be finished when We returned from vacation. I was so upset at him and the way he had conducted business, but I agreed to bringing it back when I returned from my vacation. He said okay just bring $200 more because the place he ordered it from charged him more money than what I originally paid him. I told him he was insane after putting me at an inconvenience for over a month and begging me not to go any place else to get it done. He then told me if he does it for the price that we agreed upon that it would be as if he was doing the entire labor for free. I did not agree to that and told him that he should take the loss due to all that he that put me through. He said that he couldn't do that and would give me my money back. I informed him that I would never come there to have any work done on my vehicles and I would inform my friends and family not to go there either. Mike is a bad individual and I will never deal with him again!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE.
