The Worst of the Worst I'm from Pennsylvania and was new to New Jersey when my clutch went out on my car. I didn't know any good mechanics so I took a chance with this guy. First, he demanded a deposit to buy parts of $900, then he never bought the parts and I had to, $700 worth. He refused to give back the deposit. Then he took more than seven weeks to return the car to me. He charged me a $100 labor rate, more than any other shop around. His labor total ended up being $1250. He wasn't going to warranty anything unless I paid the balance in cash. In the end, he gave me a hand written "Limited" warranty, whatever "Limited" means. Beware.

I am fairly new to New York. You hear often the stereotypes of a dog-eat-dog world. So looking for a mechanic, and honesty, is not an easy task. However, I was in a jam and needed to find one. I came across the reviews for Hughes Motor Corp, and I was immediately impressed to make a call. Vinny answered (he's part of a duo with Kevin). He was very friendly and assuring when I told him about the problems with my Durango. I had AAA tow the car to their workshop in Yonkers. These guys are professional, efficient, and you get your car back within the time frame that is estimated. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop, they are a great team. They will take care of your problems and put you at ease. Cars are expensive toys, what you hope to get is a decent repair job at a fair price. These guys provide both, you'll be in good hands. The guys at Cybert are honest and very easy to deal with. I've had shops in the past play games with me (halogen fluid replacement, etc.), but at Cybert, they brought me out into the shop, showed me what was going on, explained the fix, and then fixed it. There was nothing shady and I never once felt like they were trying to take advantage of me. They have a convenient location, reasonable hours, and surprisingly good coffee while you wait.
