Brake repair service near Armonk, NY

I have a 2008 Impreza with 60K on odometer that stalled on a stop light. I call the tow company and suggest the nearest auto shop. Unfortunately it was Auto Tech in Stamford. Service writer told me $129 for diagnose before he can give estimated price for a repair. He call later that day and said the technician has found nothing major issue except I need a new battery and minor engine tune-up. He quoted a price of $650. I said I have other concern about my AC is not blowing cold. He said they will do another diagnose and give me a quote to fix it. They found out my car need a new AC condenser which cost $750 to fix. All in all I paid $1400 after my Triple A discount. I ask about the warranty he said 2 years. After a month my AC is not working again so I bring it back and they told me the new AC condenser works fine the problem is the compressor it need to be replace. it’s kind of fishy to me because when they diagnose my AC for the first time there’s nothing wrong with the compressor now they insist it’s broken and wants me to spend a $1000. Sorry to say but these guys are crooks and untrustworthy. I suggest to avoid this shop they will take your money and never fix the problem.

Ron and everyone at Autobahn are courteous, fair and trustworthy. They've gone above and beyond, even giving me a ride home when I had none and when the work was expected to take some time. I went in for a flat tire and these guys were great. they fit me in right before they closed and couldn't be nicer. I thought they'd tried to get me in and out so fast but the mechanic stayed after his shift was over to help me. I couldn't be happier with the service so even though I own a Honda I brought my car to them for my next service. Its been 4 years now and I still feel like a friend when I walk in and Joe, Mike, Helene and the gang make me feel comfortable, like they're not going to rip me off like the guys in new rochelle. thanks for staying honest, dch toyota city has a class act bunch. I may even buy a toyota next month when my lease is up :0)
