Elite was referred to me by a friend who is also a satisfied customer. As an individual with good mechanical knowledge as well as a car enthusiast my experience with Marc and Elite Auto Specialty has always been very satisfactory and pleasant. As the Manager at this facility, I would like to take this opportunity to provide some information in regards to the previous post. The above customer came into our facility with two concerns. First, check a no start condition. It was a simple diagnosis, the starter had failed. We replaced the Starter, charged standard book time and the cost of a new, not rebuilt part. We even gave the customer a lifetime warranty on the part and did not charge a diagnostic fee. The second concern was to check a no heat condition. We verified there was no heat, and there was a noise coming from the dashboard area. I explained to Tony, this would require removal of the lower part of the dash board to diagnose and there would be a charge. It could be either an acuator, a blendoor, or even debris causing this condition. Tony declined. All the information was clearly marked on the receipt, in which, Tony had signed. I would be more than happy to repair the no heat condition on his old, high mileage vehicle, but he did not want it repaired due to cost.
