Mufflers repair service near Glendale, NY

I went to them ask to help to fix my muffler in a cheap way as I do not have too much money. They charged me 185.00 to weld a universal muffler that sounds broken, engine feels less power. Welding does not hold. I have already back 3 times. I know I don't pay a lot but still it is not good. They are cheap but not good

You might say that they will not put any brakes in your way . On 3-07-11 I brought my 2000 Silverado in to Meineke center # 2061 to have the brakes serviced. The brakes were last serviced on 11-01-07 by Meineke center # 115 Odometer 100,888 The shop Meineke # 2061 checked and serviced the brakes on my 2000 Silverado Odometer 130,453 invoice number 3697 While traveling in PA On 4-15-07 the passenger side front caliper on my 2000 Silverado came off and lodged itself in the front wheel Odometer 130,610 I called Meineke shop # 2061 and explained what happened. The Shop told me to get it fixed and that they would “ take care of it” I gave the invoice from a Monro Muffler shop # 90 which serviced my 2000 Silverado To the Manager at 2061 on 4-18-11 I was informed that he would have to talk to the owner of the shop about the invoice. A week later the Manager from Meineke # 2061 called and said they would credit my account $ 466.00 When I questioned him as to why they would not cover the full amount $904.00 The Manager explained it was because I had the rear brakes done. I informed him that the cost of the rear brakes was $253.00 before discounts and that the $466.00 did not cover the cost of a new rotor or the used spindle that Monro had to install. I told him should check his math and call me back when the shop has a chance to look over the Monro invoice. The Meineke Manager of # 2061 called me back with another total $618.00. I asked how he came up with the new total. He explained it to me; again I questioned his ability to read the bill and told him to call me back when he had a better understanding of the Monro invoice. The service was great, Jimmy was a pleasure to talk to over the phone and even nicer in person. He fully explained what was going on with my car and exactly what they did. The price for all the work that was done on our car was very reasonable. I didn’t feel ripped off like I have in the past at other mechanics. I am very thankful for how quick they were able to have it done considering a few set backs they were having that day in general. I would fully recommend them to friends and family. Dorian Delany

This is not simply a service and gas station - Joe is a community member. When I buy gas in another town, I feel like I'm cheating ! We vote with our dollars every day - and it's important to support our community members. They also have pick up and delivery service for repairs and are always timely! Deirdre Ventura

Stay away. Horrible service. Tried to charge me $90.00 for an oil change using my oil and filter that I already purchased, while every other STS in the area only charged me $20.00. Also tried to overcharge me for labor on a previous occasion. A few months ago I had gotten a flat tire and I drove into this shop at about 5 minutes before they were closing, and they refused to help me just said I was out of luck because they were about to close. Worst STS I have ever been to and will never go back.

No stars...if possible I'd give negative ranking. I left my car because I had problem with my tire. After a while, I received call from them and they told me on the phone that tire has a valve leakage and repair cost will be $12.99 plus labor. The person mentioned that my backlight is also gone and the filter needs to be replaced for which I specifically mentioned that I'll take a look once I'm there. When I reached there, they charged me for both tire and backlight which I didn't ask for and when I reminded that I never agreed to fix the backlight - he started shouting, used curse words and was almost on the verge of making racist remarks. I just don't understand how can such a person run any business. Anyways, I'm done with this store forever.
