Engine repair service near North Babylon, NY

Theo's car care is a rip-off!!! I took my car there because my friend said the owner was somewhat honest to him while inspecting his car, and because it's a small local shop so I expected lower charges. However, when I need to have a part replaced on my nissan, the owner asked for the same price as a Nissan dealer is asking, and, much higher than Goodyear!! He charged me $100 for inspecting, it took them FOREVER even after I told them my suspicion because it's a common Nissan problem that surprisingly hasn't been recalled on. The inspection cost $60 for my friend who has the same car and exact same issue at Goodyear. When it comes to labor, Theo's mechanic finished taking the part out and putting the new one in in about 1 hour, BUT, he charged me for 2 hrs!! When I told him my friend had it fixed for less, he said he doesn't believe me so I called Goodyear and had him talked to Goodyear, only then did he lowered the price a bit. When I got the bill at the end, it's almost the same as Goodyear's charge but I had a terrible experience. Terrible customer service and the owner is sleazy, rude, and ignorant, I would give him a -5 stars if I could.

If you're tired of getting robbed for your automotive needs or getting less than you paid for - then this is the place for you. Lance and his small team of mechanics, while all being quite young - are the real-deal - they have turned their personal passions for Subaru (all models & generations) - in to a business - making them a real specialty shop for virtually all your Subaru Auto needs. Don't get me wrong, they are not a 1-trick pony though - they service virtually all makes and models... I've recently had them address various items on my '15 WRX, including the subject Clutch & Flywheel Upgrade, perform an EGR delete, swap plugs, weld/repair a broken exhaust flange plate (which I thought for sure was unfixable without a new plate - Warren is a talented Genius welder) & Tim is a talented Dyno Tuner, (thanks to dyno time at Chameleon Racing in Bohemia). The entire team at Larsen's are super friendly, happy to share educated advice, sharp at finding issues and remedying them - all without charging an arm and a leg. Super flexible too - one of the best experiences I've had with an auto shop in my life - I currently travel over 35miles just to get my car worked on by them...
