I was looking on yelp for a good mechanic in Ridgewood and came across a recommendation that I was impressed with and decided to give the shop a try. I was so impressed with the cleaniness of the place (they are usually very dirty) and the knowledge the mechanic had, that I felt comfortable leaving my Chevrolet Truck there. I needed an inspection and once I started to explain a strange noise in my truck, Ken, the owner of the shop, told me I needed brakes. I had him do the job. I was happy with the repairs he made. My truck never felt this good. His prices are fair and I am glad to say I will be coming back and recommending him to everyone I know who needs a good mechanic.

They have saved me tons of money- typically in situations where my dealership tries to upsell an unnecessary service not warranty covered. Recently, they looked at a used dealer car I was interested in buying- and found a few potentially costly issues with the vehicle, that were then taken care of by the dealer. But Paul and Richie over at Brookside really take care of you. I mean, I was blown away by their responsiveness, patience in explaining everything, and resourcefulness in arranging rental cars and dealing with insurance companies. My truck was back exactly when they said it would be. And it hasn't looked this good since the day I brought it from the dealer.
