Transmission repair service near Corinth, TX

I would put zero stars if I could. I dropped my car off to get a transmission put in and Juan had my car for four weeks with no work done to it. I kept being told it would be done “in a few days” that he was just waiting for a better transmission to put in my car. I was more than understanding in the delay until I received a call from Juan that my car had been stolen off the lot and that the mechanics leave the keys in the cars since they “move them from lot to lot”. I did not receive a call until 4pm the day after my car was gone. He kept trying to suggest that my car had been repossessed when I’m payed ahead for my car. After filing a police report (which he was hesitant to do), and getting insurance involved, my car magically showed up the next morning and Juan was adamant that my car was not stolen, even though he checked his lots and asked his mechanics and he was the one to make the police report. When I got my car back, my things were thrown around, there was a bud light tall boy open and empty in my car plus many brown paper bags that the beer cans come in. They drained 3/4 of a tank of gas and put about 150 miles on my car. Juan was not apologetic and when I picked up my car he only spoke to me to tell me my keys were in the car. They don’t have cameras and they don’t have insurance for these kind of things. The savings are not worth the experience.

No starts wasn’t an option!! My car broke down while traveling down 35E on a Sunday and it happened to be next to that shop-so I had it towed there since I live 4 hours away!!! So I call Monday morning to see if it can even be fixed...I get a quote and say ok...after all that work is done there’s more so I allow that as well...so a few days go by and it’s now Wednesday morning so I call to see if it’s ready and they say yes so I op in my rental and head that way...I arrive around 1:30 and the car isn’t ready bc it had started to overheat again so I wait at restaurant until they call at 4 to tell me it’s good to go...I don’t even make it all the way out of Dallas before it starts to overheat but by then they’re closed...so I park on the side of the highway for it to cool for about 30 mins and take off...well I made it for an hour then it died on me in Georgetown which is still another hour and a half from my home-and I ended up not eleven getting home until 1:30am bc I had someone come get me! I call them today about a refund and was basically told to go fuck myself...I don’t understand how someone can take your last $1000 to fix a car that you had already told them you weren’t sure if it was fixable or not and be ok with themselves...I would’ve rather them told me it has too many problems to be fixed-bc now I’m out $1000, no car, and wasted an entire day-I have never been so disappointed in my entire life!

I would not take any car or truck to these guys. I have a truck that has had a transmission replaced by these guys and it lasted 7 months but was 200 miles over the warranty period. These guys would not work with me at all and basically said they didn't know why the transmission failed. Then they told me it would be $390 to tell me the transmission was bad?? My reply is no kidding that is why i brought it to a transmission shop? When they couldn't tell me what caused the break down and wouldn't work with me on the price of repairing it, I told them I was not interested in putting another $1400 down for another transmission, they didn't even put it back together they threw the transmission and all the parts in the back of the truck and left it. When I towed the vehicle to Eagle Transmission in Richardson the tow truck driver said this is not the 1st time he has picked up cars they have done this to. I went to Eagle for $1150 I have a good solid transmission like the one in my other truck they did and it has 100k miles on it and still pulling strong. These guys are not good and apparently they get business because they are right on I-35. Very bad move dealing with them in the 1st place.

When I was searching for a new transmission shop for my FLEET, I called ROB to come out to our location. I explained what I wanted and in return he explained what he could do as far as time and money. I have had several shops that talk a good game wanting your business and many have received it only to be disappointed in the time frame and the final cost. I’m well aware that each model year and make of vehicle presents a different situation along with the condition of the transmission when received. Rob has always kept me up to date on the status of each the current job. I’m only going to use one word to describe my relationship with Grapevine Automatic, and that is trust.

Horrible by payingcustomer75851 on 06/10/2014 I paid Dave Exner a good deal of money to install a supercharger and it was not money well spent. The thermostat leaks and he will not come out and fix his mistake. He came out once to look at it and said oh yeah it does leak I'll be back and that's the last we've seen of Dave. He has answered a few phone calls and his excuse was "I can't come out today, I have paying jobs." That's terrible. He since then doesn't answer calls or return messages. I called from a different number and he answered but claimed he was sick once he found out who I was. Now Im left with a car I can't drive. Stay away from Dave.

Nick Adler as the general manager is excellent. He personally greeted me, listened to my concerns and then performed the checks. He recommended service and offered excellent prices. While my car was being worked on they even gave me a ride home (2 miles away). I had just visited another oil change place and they treated me rudely and with no respect. They did not use my coupon, check on an oil leak, or even offer suggestions besides visit a shop. Kwik Kar will be my new place for service for both my cars. I would highly recommend everyone to go there. They provide excellent customer services and care about the customer experience.

happy about the work this shop did. my bmw 328 had a bad head gasket, dealer told me it would take 3 days for the job to be done and my car sat there for 3 weeks finally took my car back, looked around for a a import shop in the area and found this place. my car was in&out in about 4 days. so far my car is running great! hope to continue with the good work thanks. My family has been coming to Brake-O for over 15 years. We've never had a bad experience with them, they are always honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. Prices are very fair and competitive. I don't know how many times I took my car in for a warranty check up at the dealership, was told something was wrong, took my car to Brake-O and they said nothing needed to be fixed. You aren't just a number to them, they really want to take care of their clients and remember your name, get to know you and have excellent service. I recommend them to everyone.
