Just had some repairs done to my 2008 Ford Diesel. I was quoted over a 1000.00 at another shop for repairs that were not even needed. Dorsett's saved me almost 350.00 dollars as the truck did not need what the other shop said it needed. The worst experience ever took my car there cause my gear wouldn't go into park so he charged me 150.00 to look at it then disassembled my shifter and left it like that with no solution said he couldn't find parts for it said for me to go look for another solution for it. And then they had disabled my car alarm and they couldn't get it to work again and Dave tells me they don't know how to get it to work. Well first off my car was fine when I got there my alarm worked. And they did nothing to help to get my alarm working he tells me go to an alarm company to get it fixed. I will never go there again shity service they will take you money with no problem at all. So my shifter doesn't work my alarm doesn't work and I am out 150.00 so people don't go there I am not sure they can help you they didn't help me at all.

I found the details of this place over the net. Wasn't sure when I first arrived and left my car repairs. But the gentleman (Mr JR) who worked on my car was extremely good at his job. He performed a thorough checkup, found the root cause and fixed my car. I would definitely recommend his workshop for Transmission related issues.

Personable and not a bad location either. This isn't a big shop, but they are friendly and knowledgeable. They specialize in Jaguars, Land Rovers, and Mini Coopers. I must be one of many people who hate the Mini dealership (I drove all the way to the Woodlands to buy my Mini after reading reviews of Momentum Mini, but it's not practical to go there for maintenance). It's strange that I didn't hate Momentum Volvo when I had one....is it just the Mini folks for some reason? Mike is chatty and tells you what's going on with the repair, and knows what's going on with my car. I was so glad to find them.

After exhausting our local options we put the discovery 1 on a trailer and took it here. Most reviews were good so we thought we were lucky to find one only 5 hours away. We were mistaken. Maybe for maintenance work they would be ok, but to actually diagnose and fix the problem, I would never recommend them. The first time they had it for 2 weeks and $1100 later we had a tuneup, an ignition coil, new ground wire and spark plugs.... and a vehicle that still couldn't make it out of the parking lot. So keys in overnight slot again and it stayed for another 2 weeks. Both times my husband was told it was running well and they had been driving it around. Amazingly after one month and all the "driving" they did, we had 2 miles put on the truck and it still wouldn't get out of the parking lot. All of the things we had already replaced they replaced again... (ignition coil, oxygen sensor...) and wanted to keep it longer since they thought it was the mass air flow (had 2 sitting in the truck since we already went that route) and kept telling my husband the catalytic converters were blocked (3 months old... and would blow leaves across a parking lot). 2 days after trailering it home (another 5 hour trip there and 5 hours back) my husband talked online to a landrover owner who had similar issues. After checking the crankshaft sensor (as suggested) he discovered the 2 wires to/from the sensor were melted together. After fixing that problem it still "missed". So he went to look at the crank position ring and discovered a tine bent over. Because of this the sensor couldn't see it and was missing. After gently bumping the tine back up into place the sensor saw it and the missing stopped. It is running smoothly and perfectly. Now he just has to figure out why, after they rewired it, the front windows wont roll up or down, and the front sunroof won't either. I am not saying these people didnt want to fix it, I am saying that they should admit when they don't know and quit being parts replacers instead of mechanics. Also their master mechanic never seemed to be around, which makes me wonder if he was would it actually have gotten fixed. If you need a tune up, then this really doesn't apply to you but if you need a problem diagnosed you might want to think before sending it here. $2000 later and still not running any different when you pick it up, you have to ask if it is really worth it.

I have taken my car to Alex Collision Center for repairs covered by Allstate and also State Farm Insurance and had excellent cooperation between the inspectors and the mechanics. Because of this, I have taken the car there for general maintenance and also had a good experience. The service has been very good and the costs are reasonable.

When I first called them they couldn’t get me in for two weeks, ok whatever. Two weeks later I call them, they don’t even remember me but just tell me bring in my vehicle they’ll get me in. They told me it would be a week and a half to rebuild the engine and they would call me when it was done. They originally quoted me $3995. A week after I dropped it off they called me and told me it would $7k to fix it. I told them that wouldn’t work so they backed it off to $5700. They told me again a week and a half and they would call me-don’t call them. Two weeks later I call them and they told me they would call me back later that day with an update. No call. I called back Monday and the guy I spoke with was absolutely nasty to me. It had already taken twice as long as they had quoted me and my car had failed the test drive. They decided to pull my engine back out and NO ONE had called me!!!!!!!!! This time they told me it would be 15-20 business days! On top of the time they already had it! When I finally get it back the interior is greasy the exterior is caked in dirt and my Windshield is cracked! I read the reviews and decided to give this place a chance. I just hope the engine holds up because if that works as well as anything else this company does it’s gonna crap out.

These guys suck and are liars. Called at 10:30 in the morning said they would be there in a couple hours. Nothing. Called at 2:30 said he would call his guy to see where he was and that he would call back in 15 min. Nothing. Called at 3:30 said he was half hour away. Nothing. Called at 4:30 guy who answered sounded like and ignorant buffoon and said the would be there in the morning. I said forget it you lied and stood me up wasted my time.

Don't go there!!! After agreeing to pay $800 for engine repair, a week after he had my car, he tells me he has mis-diagnosed the problem and he is working on it. Then 6 weeks later of ongoing phone calls and no car, he tells me he won't fix it till he gets more money. Now, my engine is with him, and my car is at another place. I remain car-less. 6 weeks!!!!! That's 6 weeks of relying on others for rides to work and temple. This is awful customer service and some what of a ConArtist. He keeps your engine by luring you with a lower price and then wants to bill you for more. His scamming is what makes everything else bad for frugal car owners out there.

I do not recommend anyone here anymore, due to bad service. Management and staff changed recently and no longer provide the same customer service. The manager there has no people skills and does not seem to care about the horrible customer service he provides clientele. I used Meineke every month for my regular oil changes for the past 4 years at this location and have been very disappointed with my last 3 visits. They always seem to find something new or wrong with my vehicles each time I go and feel pressured to pay for new & unnecessary services each time. A dishonest business does not look out for it's customers and will lose integrity,not just it's customers. I no longer recommend this location to friends and family and am now taking my vehicles elsewhere. Do your research and take your vehicle, where you are appreciated as a customer and where you can trust the people you do business with.

I purchased a LS P75 head from this place on a Friday and was later told on the following Monday, by the owner, that I was suppose to remove the head myself. I requested for a refund that Monday and was told Tuesday to pick up the head because they finally removed it that day. The owner said, " Sorry but head is there ready for you and if he didn't have the head then he would refund it." Not only did I purchase this head but I also paid for a motor swap which ended up having an oil issue that they did not fix. I also requested for my car's original motor and transmission back, in which the owner said it was recycled. This was without my permission nor did he notify me about it. Later found out he kept it, as he does with other customers car's motor and transmission; then sells them to new customers. Don't take any advice from this place nor do business with it because there only looking to skim by with your money. The owner does not respect customers and he does not respect his workers. This alone tells you enough about himself and his business. I don't want the people from my city getting messed over by this corrupt Non-Texan.
