Auto inspection service near Holladay, UT

You guys were amazing. The starter died on my 2001 Arero. I also had known that my manifold gasket had a leak and that is why coolant had been leaking for awhile, but I never had the time or money to take it in. The Saturday I brought the Alero in to fix the starter, Troy pointed out the gasket leak and had a quote for me before I even asked.

I have gone to Paul's for information twice in as many weeks. Spoke to entirely different people each time and they were all free with their knowledge and seemed genuinely interested in helping me make the best decision while also saving money. The work I'm planning on for my Avalanche will be done at Paul's.

The shop did some prior work for me in July and I spent $5749.62 and told my truck would run like a new truck. I received a FIXED FOREVER parts and labor Warranty. Now the first part of September my service engine light comes on so I take it back to Steve's to have it checked out. They stated they would run a test after they pulled the codes. Call back and just the gas cap, no big deal, until I went to get my truck and they wanted over $200.00 for the gas cap. They told me that I was informed on the phone about the cost and I stated why would I be so upset if I agreed to that much for a gas cap. He stated he would check the call and I said go ahead and you will find you never told me about the extra charges just to put on a new gas cap. Both Kathy and I have had our vehicles worked on here before and they seem honest in the beginning but watch out after that. I don't like being lied to and I surely would not pay $200.00 for a gas cap. Once confronted they only charged me for a $26.00 gas cap, still expensive and did not honor my Car Care Club discount that cost me $99.95. Don't be afraid to stand up for what is right even if they get mad and pout like a child who just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Service was prompt and courteous. Prices are reasonable. You can also make appointments and they will have a bay open for you! We were here visiting and went on a recommendation. Very pleased.

I'm from out of town and my brakes went out. They stayed late on a Saturday night and didn't charge an arm and a leg. Highly recommended! Barbara B.

Amazing, honest and incredible work! I went in for a brake inspection and an oil change and upon completion they told me exactly what was wrong with my brakes, what it would cost to fix it, what the warranty would be and how long it would take. Having no coupons in hand I was planning on paying the full price for the services. Keith stepped in and told me that he would give me the coupon price for the services rendered and took care of the inspection charge cutting my bill by 3/4! I would very much recommend this place to anyone looking for good, quality, honest and reliable automotive work. -Kyle

As a women I feel intimidated when I have to have anything done on my car because I do not know anything about it. I was pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness of Dennis and Russ. They made me feel in control of the repair, showed me the part that was leaking and explained what it did. They did not talk down to me as a women and asked me if I had any other questions they could answer. I loved that they took me home since the car had to cool down before they could do the repair and the total bill was less then they had quoted. I have found a great new shop and will be telling all my friends about them. What a great family business. I got there just as they were doing some painting inside and they apologized for the stacks of equipment and parts outside while they finished painting during the night. When I went back the next day to pick up my car it looked so clean and bright inside. I was impressed that they had done so much in such a small amount of time. Susan Bailey

Dirve a BMW 525i - 2005 about 105K miles. just had my transmission serviced 01/20 (fluid replced etc. 0serviced by these guys, the owner not only had me in his office to get a quote on the price , needed 9 liters. BMW quoted 48 bucks/liter, he gave me a 20 % discount on the total price. I also had a few warning lights, that needed to be looked at, he brought me into the back plugged his computer , and showed me everything that came up. Reset a few minor lights, and no charge for that, Dealership ususally charges 85.00 to reset lights. Very good service, and I would definatelly do business again with them

I went in for an emission and safety inspection only to be told that I didn't need to have one this year. A mechanic offered to run my credit card to pay my State car tax and to provide me with a renewal sticker that day. I agreed. He ran my credit card. The owner, an old man, then said I owed him a $10 servicing fee. I exclaimed he never told me about this fee. I asserted that had I known about this fee, then I would have paid the State online for FREE. He said he didn't have to tell me about the fee because I should have read the fee broad above my head. He then ran my credit card for $18! I told him that he was dishonest. He proceeded to call me a "foreigner" who "should go back to my country." He then practically threw $8 in cash at me. I'm an Asian-American woman. I'm offended by his unprofessional and racist comment. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone.

After having my car for an entire day and charging me $200 for a $20 part that takes 15 minutes to put in, my car still wouldn't start the next day. I had to have it towed somewhere else where they told me they were unable to diagnose it, and also that the part that had been replaced at First Choice had been put in backwards!!! When I called them back to tell them this, they said there was no way the part could have been put in backwards and refused to compensate me in any way. I told him I would leave a bad review on every website I could think of and he was VERY rude and said he would sue me if I did that! I asked him on what grounds and he hung up on me. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB. Don't take your car here!! They lure you in with their $17.99 oil change but they do schotty work and have HORRIBLE customer service. They are only getting a 1 star rating because they won't let me give a 0 star rating. I hope all the business he will lose over my reviews is worth keeping my $200.
