BUYERS BEWARE... As a former employee I noticed that the price mark up is ripping both areas off. For example they pay $18.99 for brake pads and you get charged $79.99 minimum, they pay $25.00 for brake rotors and you get charged $119.00 on the average. I've witnessed alot of wrong doing while working as a so called manager for this company. I feel for customers such as Ms. Shaw who came in to have her door fixed on her mini van and was charged $119.00 for diagnostics and was given a quote for $1800.00 only to get the problem fixed somewhere else for $6.00...but to make it worse the owner promised to refund her the diagnostic charge and then jerked her out of it. Instructing everyone to blow her off if she called. I can honestly say that I have NEVER experienced such robbery in all of the years I've been in the automotive industry. Friendly owner, polite and knowledgeable. Had spoken to Ray Drowne(owner) prior to going there and he assured me that the inspection would be handled correctly and with as little wait time as possible. That is exactly what took place. He even checked out a tail light that seemed to have a short at no charge (it was only a dirty connection and was fixed). I will use their services again if needed and recommend them to others.

Went in asking for quote on replacing front struts. They said I would have to provide VIN to find parts. (I could find it online without it). Was able to quote $2000.00. My regular mechanic quoted $700.00 for the job. I tried them because my regular mechanic was unable to meet my timeline needed. When I questioned their quote they told me I may need all struts replaced. How are they able to know that when I ask for the front to be replaced. I had been a customer for years but had several bad experiences in the last few visits. Females beware! They try to make you get unnecessary repairs.

Owner threatened a latinx woman over a matter that could have calmly been discussed. Maybe it's racism, maybe it's not, his motivation for being rude is not clear it can only be contemplated. Regardless, I'm not going to try and find out.

DISHONEST MECHANICS. My husband is a mechanic, but his shop doesn't do alignments. Before a big Thanksgiving road trip, he went over my car with a fine-tooth comb to make sure it was roadworthy. Changed the timing belt and oil, checked over the suspension, transmission, cooling system... everything. After all that, he sent me over to Merchant's for the alignment. They did the alignment, but before I left, they tried to tell me that I needed over $500 of additional work, that they'd be happy to take care of to keep me safe on the road. I politely declined, and will never set foot in a Merchant's tire again or recommend them to anyone else.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I bought 4 tires for $500 and thy apart halfway through the warranty period. The manager refused to honor the warranty because he said they had tread life remaining. I read the warranty to him concerning the "prorated" reimbursement due to defects. He said he could see the defects but couldn't process a refund because the computer wouldn't accept it because there was still tread remaining. So I asked if I needed to bring them in bald for him to honor the warranty and he said they would have to be 2/32nds deep. That's not even passable by State Inspection standards I told him and he said, "that's our policy". Buyer beware.
