Caution; be aware of Ourisman Volkswagen & Mazda of Rockville and their Collision Center. My vehicle was stolen from inside the shop with my own keys and totaled. They claim that they are not responsible for any damages that occurred. On Wednesday July 10, 2013, I dropped my car at the Ourisman Collision Center for a core support repair, they said it would take about one week. On Wednesday July 17, I received a call that my car had been stolen and given one version of events. I went to the shop on Thursday July 18, and was told a different version. According to the manager some one had removed a pane of glass from the bay door, opened the shop and walked through all the bays, about 4 or so, and found my Mini without a bumper. My keys were not left in the vehicle, but were placed on the techs toolbox. When the car was driven out of the shop, they closed the bay door and replaced the glass that they had removed. This happened some time Tuesday July 16. I got another surprise the next evening when I arrived home and found letter from D.C. Police Hit & Run Unit. My Mini was involved in a hit & run accident the night of Sunday July 14. I emailed a copy of the police report to Ourisman and called them the next day. They took a very long time responding to my email. Late in the day they sent an email to my insurance company According to consumer Affairs in Montgomery county the standard under the law is they should take reasonable care of your vehicle. They don't have to have alarms, lock boxes were they keep keys or cameras, so leaving keys is dangerous. You need to prove beyond a doubt that they were negligent. There is no protection, as a consumer, so I ask is this correct? I was lucky I have an amazing insurance company, and gold plated policy, they were great. But not all have this.

Restore Collision Center

This is Restore Collision Center and I would like to address the complaints listed by Shawn on 4/8/13, Amy 7/17/13 and Judy on 8/23/13. First, Shawn is a fictious posting. We only repaired one Pontiac G6 and that owner was contacted and found to be very satisfied. No insurance company has ever called, written or contacted me with any complaints. Second, Amy. Amy did complain about the color of the inner trunk lining on her mustang. We couldn't correct it within the week she left it here, but we would have taken care of it for her. She never brought it back. However, I will note, she received several awards on that vehicle from the work we performed. In additiona, we received several plaques from her and the Mustang club before and after that time. In regards to their truck, we told her husband many times we didn't think it was worth fixing. He asked us to try and we put it on the the frame machine several times, cut and welded it in a few places. We even tried to get him to purchase a better Ford truck that we had. Many times we told him it wasn't worth it, but he insisted he just wanted it fixed well enough to use as a trash truck. Many times we told him it was totally messed up and wanted him to come into the shop and work with us. The amount they paid us for all the work we did up to the point they picked it up. Judy, 8/23/13 - This falcon was originally only supposed to be for a nice paint job. We were told that it was ready to be primed and painted. When we got the vehicle it had many rust, rot and holes in the fenders, trunk, quaters and lower doors. We told them it would take a lot more time, and that it would cost additional money. Yes, a restoration takes a long time. But the car is beautiful and I have many pictures and many people who watched the progress. Still, out of almost 2000 repairs that this shop has completed, I can count on one hand the customers who we just couldn't satisfy. We are very accomodating and we war
