Took my 1999 Porsche 911 here for service for the first time. I'm a new owner and I was a little intimidated about taking my car to a "race shop" but after my research they really seemed like the best option and appeared to provide a good experience to "normal" people. I'm a pretty hardcore home mechanic but the 911 is a different beast and I know my limits - I needed to find a professional to deal with a transmission drop. It also means I'm SUPER picky about who I will work with. I'm happy to say that this was the best vehicle service experience I've ever had. I never felt out of place because I'm not a racer boy or anything like that. Dan the service manager is super responsive and knowledgable and when you have a question he can't answer he goes to the mechanics and does a great job of translating for you. I got no judgement when asking questions like "do you have Porsche Special tool 9699/1 and what is your experiencing dealing with crankshaft bore concentricity issues." They worked efficinently and most importantly, there rates are suprisingly fair. I've read stories on the internet of inflated Porsche service costs in excess of 200-300 dollars an hour. These guys we like half that and just did an awesome job. I'm much more likely to continue my Porsche ownership now that I know I have a partner in town I can work with. Prior to this I was kinda on the fence about keeping the car because of the fear of running costs and working with unreliable yahoos to keep the car running. I'm not suggesting that there might not be other options in the area - can't say. But I'm just happy I picked well my first go around. I'm back to enjoying Porsche ownership after my first scare and I owe that to the team at Kelly Moss. --Ian

I was driving my son back to the University of Platteville for summer classes. It is 172 miles one way from my home in Neenah to Platteville. When I left Neenah my brakes were not making any noise indicating possible repairs. By the time I arrived in Platteville the rear driver side brakes were grinding very badly. I knew I needed them repaired before heading back to Neenah. I just stopped into Garveys auto. I explained to Kevin, the owner, of my dire situation. He had one of his mechanics stop working on a different car. Got my car in and on a hoist. They were able to put rotors and pads on within an hour, and I was on my way. I was very pleased and impressed that they got me in and out so quickly. And the cost was very reasonable, especially in this emergency situation. 5 stars!

11/5/15 -Took '04 Cavalier in to Rob's the day engine & oil light came on. Asked for diagnosis and an oil change. Here's what I got - NO oil change, and I was assured there was no oil pressure or engine issues, or any transmission issues. So they turned the lights off and charged me $117 (for nothing at all). 11/22/15 - Driving down the Beltline, car stops, so for $85 I tow it to DiMaggios who advises the engine is blown! I show him the receipt from Rob's Automotive, and he tells me to talk with them as they should back their work and work with me. 11/24/15 - Rob won't bother calling me back at all, and Jake from Rob's Automotive tells me to go 'pee in the wind.' THIS PLACE SUCKS!! It used to be On the Road, but the other partner/owner left last year. Should have changed the name to Rob's RipOff.
