Auto inspection service near Banning, CA

Probably the most honest place in town. I came because Econo Lube told me I needed new brakes which sounded fishy since they were about a year old. Came here and after a few minutes they said I didn't need them. They just needed some tweaking and cleaning. Boom! Worked like new, no more terrible noise, they wouldn't even take my money. The whole team is super nice. We've been here tons of times, they might not always be the cheapest game in town but they've got a customer for life. Erick Uribe

Our vehicle had a new battery that AAA had put in for us. Worked fine for two weeks then we woke up to a dead vehicle again. We had it towed to Exotic Car service and they did a phenomenal job helping us out. Took care of the problem completely with great service, a smile and excellent mechanical care. Bad service, worse resolutions. They said I had a fuel leak and a switch needed to be replaced. They said all the fuel lines needed to be replace due to this leak. I suggested that there was no leak that the fuel they saw was from the recent repair they had done. I took the car to another much more reputable dealer and sure enough no leak, no need to replace the switch. On top of all this they damage several items on the car and didn't even put it back together correctly. All this was done during a regular service and not a repair. Numerous times while going there various customers would be yelling and cursing at service reps, I should have taken that as a sign. Go there only as a last resort and make sure you document and photograph everything. Additional information, documents and photos available upon request.

this business is a giant scam. they live and feed off people failing smog tests for no real reason. hard working people come here to have their cars tested by an honest business and get shafted with bull crap excuses and misinformation. im angry cause my car failed smog twice and as business owners these guys should except people to be angry when hard earned money is being flushed down the toilet. the first time it failed was because my car battery had died and apparently the car cpu resets its monitor checks so even tho my car passed smog with flying colors since the computer hadnt done its own monitor checks they failed it. this second time i bought a code tester to see when all the monitors were ready to go which they were when i showed up. i thought all was gona go well until the young smog technician who cant explain his way out of a paper bag tells me my car failed due to a vacuum leak. having failed smog before i asked him did the car fail smog or did it fail because of a vacuum leak. thats when these weasels start to work their magic and all they see is a big fat $$$ on hard working peoples faces. he starts to tell me it failed because of the vacuum leak then he says theres a cracked vacuum hose if i wana take a look at it... he told me there was some tape on the hose and he removed it and saw there was a crack on the boot of the hose. i was angry he even removed the tape. i thought this was a visual inspection not a remove anything you see from my car and do what you want. he didnt even ask me if he could go into my engine and star removing things from it. granted it was just tape the state laws say VISUAL inspection. im not sure if these guys are thieves or if they participate in unlawful activity to make sure people dont pass smog. on what planet does visual inspection mean start pulling tape and componets from my car ? the owner walked in and hes just a big an idiot as his technician . using word manipulation and scare tactics to get people to pay for their crooked thieving practices. they make so much money from failing people its not even funny and they know this. just before my car was smogged a gentleman had also failed because he was not aware you had to drive your car an X amount of files to reset your car monitors or regardless if your car passes the actual smog portion of the test they will fail it.. these guys are very unprofessional and its obvious they live to rip people off. yes i was angry for my car failing but what made it worse was these guys obvious scam tactics and manipulation . visual does not mean start fooling around in my car removing things you should of asked me before you did. i will never go back again and i hope no one else does either. you have been warned.

First let me say the African american manager I assume never greeted me. We had new tires and two alignments done and less then 6 months later the tire was half bald which obviously indicates the alignment was not done properly. As soon as my husband begin to question and ask about next steps we were immediately told to read our contract and we were basically "dumb" for thinking that should be pointed out. The manager said come back later and I'll do the rotation although you didn't read the contract over and over in an extremely patronizing manner. I have an 08 ml350 in good condition so if the work had been done right we would not need new tires less then 6 months later. More then that this gentleman is basically "yelling" at my husband as if he is not intelligent. My husband is an accountant of high intellect I then informed him not to contract me because we own a business and are aware of how contracts works. At the end of the day we do what is right for the customer not in a manner that demeans or patronized them. He begin to yell louder mock me say " I'm not dealing with you I assume because he did not want to be corrected by a women. This man was extremely unprofessional condescending. Funny thing is when the caucasian women went to get her car he placed her keys in her hands warmly and said have a beautiful holiday. But I did not even get a how are you today. Being in management for 17 years I have never personally experienced reverse racism. Guess there is a first time for everything. Please stay away from this place. If you can't please read your contract and you will be better served if your non black. Good luck and choose wisely.

Very poor business practices, they do not protect your property and when something happens they do not want to take any responsibility for the damage. I took my truck in to them, due to a bad transmission. They told me it would need a new rebuilt transmission and it would cost $ 2700.00 to do it. I told them I did not have the money and it would be a few weeks before I had the money. They told me that was ok, I could leave it there they would do the work and then I could pick it back up when I had the money. They told me they had plenty of room to keep the truck there rather than bring it back when I had the money to do the work. While my truck was there it got damaged, someone hit the rear driver fender and damaged the fiberglass fender. I picked up the truck and drove it to Riverside, and that evening I noticed the damage. The first thing the next morning I took it back to them he said that they would review there cameras to see how and when the damage occurred. I waited almost a week and they never got back to me to let me know what they found. I went in to see about the damage and he said that the cameras did not show anything. Rather than calling me to let me know he just figured I would go away. I am very disappointed in there actions. This not only makes me mad, but he has also lost additional work as I have another truck that needs a transmission and they will never get that work as A result of all the hassle they have put me through. If you are going to take your vehicle to them be forewarned they do not car it they damage your vehicle. Very poor business practices..... I am telling everybody to go elsewhere to have there vehicles repaired. As this is a transmission most of the time you will have to leave your vehicle there a days at a time and a lot can and does happen there.

I don't ever do reviews online but these guys are AWESOME! It is more on expensive side but they match lowest costs for tires, offer great deals whenever they can, which is more often than not, and provide great costumer service. Although they sell tires, and have a huge variety of them, they do sooo much more! Everything from putting on new tires and alignments to installing new breaks and fixing basically anything thats broken...i have yet to hear them say they can't do something to a costumer. If parts are needed that they dont already have there, they are usually there next day which is the best when it comes to car needs! Chris has always been our sales guy and he's helpful and just superb. And Mike and the guys in the back are great. They all know their stuff and offer advice and generally if you ask them to check something extra out, while they're putting on tires or something, they will hook you up like no other! They go above and beyond for the costumers and are the best of anyone we've been to! Thanks American Tire Depot, wish more shops were as helpful and accommodating as y'all are! NO NOT USE WOODCREST AUTO. Dropped 2004 Dodge Dakota with clicking noise. After $250 in labor just to diagnose it they said it was a guide to the timing chain. Here comes the scam! So a timing chain now turns out I need to replace three, I found a kit with everything I need for $400 but they of course broke it up individually and charged accordingly. The three chains from them was $448 which after doing research I didn't need to replace chains but they made me think I did. It was a bad guide which came in a kit but they charges me 3 individual guides even though only one was bad, another $200. Recommended replacing the oil pump that didn't need replacement for $250 which the most expensive I found was $139. They said I needed valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, oil, coolant, etc. What I thought mentioned over the phone was $1100-$1200 was $2200+ so over $1000 profit! The same name used in positive feedback (Marc) is 100% staged! 100% scam artists! Could have bought a new engine for that amount!

The worst experience I've ever had getting my truck smogged he told me I failed because my battery had been disconnected 2 days prior to getting my truck smogged. Instead of telling me ahead of time that I had a problem, he ran the truck knowing it was going to fail smog . The smog shop across the street told me if I would have brought it over to them they would have warned me about the problem before they would have smog the truck, therefore not letting it fail smog. Very unfriendly shop I highly recommend that you do not go here they will scam you if they get the chance.
