I called Angus with a question on possible engine replacement of 01 Camry with a seized engine. I have to say, he spend a good bit of time explaining to me the pros and cons and concluded that it was not just worth the effort! My impression of him is that he is very knowledgeable and possesses excellent judgement!

This is my go to mechanic shop. My car is a 1991 Toyota Celica that was a gift from my grandpa before he passed so with that sentiment I'm trying to restore her to classic glory. My upper engine and cooling system needed an overhaul this time but now it sounds quiet, smooth, with better acceleration while curing the overheating problem I was having. I've been going to Paul's Battery & Tire Service for years, as well as many of my friends and family. Some of these reviews are vicious, and I am here to say they do an excellent job mechanically and I can always take my truck in and they check and rotate my tires for free. They are trustworthy, fast and honest. Plus they have been there forever....a native San Franciscan. whoop whoop

I never thought I'd find a mechanic that would delight me enough to write a 5 star review, but this place is different than any other auto mechanic I've ever dealt with.I came in for regular 30K service and spongy brakes, expecting a costly brake job, among other things. After dropping off the car, my phone rang a short while later. I answered, going into my typical defensive mode that I've grown accustomed to from past experience with auto mechanics, ready to question every single thing "wrong" with the car and the thousands of dollars about to be estimated to fix it."Your car's fine," said the voice on the other end. He explained that the brakes had plenty of life left and just needed to be bled. The only thing needed was an oil change and new air filter. The Best body and paint work I've seen thus far. I highly recommend Spectrum, I recently had my BMW hit from the side and the paint and body work looks as if nothing happened, blended well and you can never tell it was hit! There reasonable, trustworthy and most important fast! They won't have your car on the back burner, will expedite quickly while being precise! They do everything from classics to common cars to expotics this is a great body shop! A+++ :)
