Dropped my wife’s car off with Ian to have some simple repairs done. He got the car back quick and done right. He was even able to point out some common failure points on the R56’s so that I can keep an eye out and have them repaired before major damage will occur. I'm relatively new in the area, and needed to find a reliable automotive repair and service shop to help me with numerous issues that have been creeping up with my car recently. I had been noticing some issues with my suspensions, alignment, and some strange things happening with my engine, and since I'm not an expert, I needed a shop that would provide honest, friendly, and courteous service and wouldn't try to take me (and my wallet) for a ride. I was pleased when I called Car Port Specialist on a whim and had a pleasant conversation with them over the phone. They were patient with me and didn't talk down to me or make me feel small for not knowing exactly what the problem was. I came in the same day and they did some diagnostic testing, and I didn't even have to pay from the estimate. For me, this was big; other shops I called had no patience for me being unsure about the exact nature of the problem, and would have charged a substantial amount for the estimate. In the end, I was expecting the repairs to be more expensive than they were. Ultimately the engine issue was minimal, and the prices for everything were extremely fair. We took our Honda in for service since it was acting like it had transmission problems. It would not start sometimes. It seemed like we were going to have major problems with the car. They recommended we do the 100k service, replace the broken engine mounts and a differential flush/oil change don't remember exact terms but wow when we picked it up it drove like a brand new car. No more vibration. Did not have to replace the transmission. He checked all the fluids. Did a completely evaluation of the car gave us a list of things that needed to be service and the cost in the order of importance. To top it all off he even lube the doors so that they closed really easy. Loved the service, the attention to detail and the price is very reasonable. Best mechanic I have ever had. I would highly recommend them. It is refreshing to find someone who is upfront and honest with you. They are more interested in having a long term relationship as your mechanic than taking advantage of you for a quick gain. I am very impressed. Eva W.

I don't even know where to start. OMG. I don't even know how these people are still in business if they are ripping people off like that or maybe it just happened to me because I am a female and they fully took advantage of me. Long story short, They charged me $700 to inspect my transmission because of a slipping problem with my 2000 Honda Accord (about 60,000 mileages). I figured that it should not cost anymore than $2000 because the dealership quoted the same job for my car for $2440. It turned out that I was so wrong. they asked me $2800. At that point I had no choice or else I would’ve been out of $700 just to take my car to another shop. After I argued that the price was too high, they had agreed to take only $270 off. Finally, I picked up the car late last Friday (4/5/2013), and one thing I’ve noticed on the receipt was the fact that they have charged me $1600 for Labor alone. Anyway, while I was driving home, I smelled and noticed smoke coming out from the hood of the car. I called them the next day(Saturday) to report the problem and they told me to bring it back by Monday. I failed to drive the car around that week end since I didn't want it to stuck with me. Late Monday after work, I dropped the car off and they claimed that it was too hot to check out. Tuesday 4/9/2013, I called them and they told me that the thermostat along with some seals were all messed up and there was no coolant in the radiator, and it would charge me $470 to fix it. Call me stupid but first of my car never had overheating problems before I dropped it off to ScamCo and second, I had service done on the car by Pepboys a week prior to dropping it off at ShameCo. You don't think Pepboys would've indicated that my car did not have any coolant or was overheated? Lastly, Why are you charging me $470 for a thermostat($25-$30) and some Seals ($2.85-$5/each)?
