The absolute WORST NIGHTMARE ! Do not take your vehicle here. Do not do business with Affordable transmission. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Brought my vehicle to them for a transmission change back in January 2023. Car kept giving problems after transmission change brought back to them last month , June 2023 and today is July 27th and my car is still at their shop. No COMMUNICATION whatsoever. I’ve had to constantly reach out to one of the owners “Ocatvio” and that gets me nowhere. Extremely unprofessional doing business. With having to constantly follow-up (I’d give enough time in between communication because I do understand it can take some time) and time passes and zero communication from Affordable Transmission. I started coming this week Monday 7/24/23 to be exact, Octavio was actually in the office. He stated it would be ready before Friday 7/28/23. Today is Thursday 7/27/23 and the New Transmission is not even here yet. The WORST experience EVER. Again, I only know this because I’ve had to start coming to the shop to find out the status of my car.

AAmco Transmission / AKA: In High Gear Inc. which now is located at 3800 Oleander ave Fort Pierce because they were foreclosed on their US1 Location. Please think twice before bringing your vehicle to them for repair. Aaron & Anita Horwitz the owners are disrespectful, dishonest & untrustworthy. I brought my vehicle there for an electronic issue with my transmission and they quickly said I need a rebuilt transmission. There tactics are get your car or truck, give you a lowball price then they give you a different price a few days later after they remove your transmission, then if your not willing to accept they will charge you $500 for putting everything back. I fell for their smooth talking and was told I would have it back in few days. They ended up having the vehicle almost 2 weeks, then they lost my keys and had to have a locksmith reprogram a new set, they damaged parts removing transmission and wouldn't admit to it, then when I picked up they were fast to want payment. I told them I wanted to take for a test drive and when I did, the shifter wasn't working correctly, It drove in neutral, went reverse in park & stayed in 3rd gear when in drive. I told them about this and they told me it was like this when they got it. They LIED right to my face. Now they wanted more money to fix this problem, which never was a problem to begin with. They are a bunch of liers and smooth talkers. I will not give them any business ever again and hope no one does after reading this. PLEASE google and searce for AAMCO SCAMS AND COMPLAINTS. There are thousands of reports of AAMCO doing these same business tactics. If you want you transmission or any other service done without worrying please research and find another place to bring your vehicle. I wish I would of looked before bringing my vehicle there. I dropped off my vehicle to get repaired they said they could not provide an estimate until they took it apart. Once they took it apart they informed me that it would be 6900 for repair or 1750 for them to pit ot back together. After they over a week they informed me the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I said I would pick up by the end of that day . They called me back and asked how I was paying I informed them I was paying by check just like the last 5 times I used this company. They called me back and said that since the amount was so high that they would only take cash or credit card. I went in to pick up my vehicle with credit card and was told they do not take American Express. So I left and went back with my visa debit card they then refused to take my credit card and wanted me to run as debit not credit. A debit card can not be charged for that amount and would not go through. They informed me I would have to bring them in cash or I would not get my vehicle back After inspection of the vehicle they damaged the passengers side of vehicle and when confronted they said they would give me a 1000$ credit but I would have to pay cash and have no warranty on vehicle repair. Not sure if vehicle is actually repaired or not since they have it blocked in and will not let me start it. Not comfortable paying anyone cash with no form of proof of work done. Never had this issue with them considering they repaired that vehicle before along with many others and always paid by check. But to demand cash after the job is supposedly done is ridiculous. I was informed that I had until Monday morning to bring in cash or they will not give me 1000$ credit which is not going to pay for the damage that they did charged me the full price and also storage fees.

I called AAMCO in Lake Worth, FL on 3/19/14 to have them tow my car to check to see why my car wasn’t changing gears. On 3/20/14 Alex called me back and said that I need a new transmission and it would cost me $1500. He said the job would be complete tuesday 3/24/14. I gave him a verbal permission to start working on my car. Alex told me that since it was a big job, he would need a deposit of $600. On saturday morning i brought him the deposit and he reassured me again that my car would be complete on tuesday. On tuesday afternoon, I called Alex to make sure my car was done and he said no and that they were waiting on one part. He assured me that my car would be complete Wednesday afternoon. I called again Wednesday and he said that my transmission was rebuilt and all they had to do was a test drive and that he would give me a call. Since i didn’t hear from him thursday morning, i had my boyfriend call him. He said that he got a speed sensor error code and that he ordered the part and he would have my car on friday. Alex called me friday morning and said that my car is ready to be picked up. When the tow truck picked up my car, the only issue it had was the transmission. When i went to pick up my car, my motor making noise as if a hammer is hitting it, my car turns off when i put in park and Alex refuses to listen to me that they just made a bigger problem on my car. I refused to pay for a car that’s in worse shape then when i brought it in. I called Alex this morning 3/31/14 to ask for corporate’s number, Alex told me “if I contact corporate then the owners will delay fixing my vehicle”. I asked him for the owner’s name and he refused to give me that information. We are on day number 12 and I still DON’T have my car.
