Brake repair service near Lake Wales, FL

I was lied to by a main dealer. They said I needed an expensive repair. These guys were honest. Told me it wasn't necessary. For that I will always be grateful, so they won my business, long term.

Nicest guys I've ever met. Took me in late in the day, diagnosed the problem with my F150 and even though I was at their mercy being from out of town and all, their charges were very reasonable. Thanks for a great job!

A real hard working man, maintained my vehicle and and did a great job. He was working on three cars, but did the job on mine great. The only problem with this shop was, I assume the manger, was yelling and fusing the whole time I was their at the employee, he was rude and it about drove me off. I think this man abuses his employees. But otherwise the man in the light green shirt did an excellent job on my car and told me exactly what I wanted to hear and preformed a perfect job. See him when you need work.

Nice guys and they mean well. If you are interested in a top notch professional shop keep looking. This is an old school garage and mechanic that struggles to get the repair completely done the first time you bring your vehicle in. Fully expect not to have your vehicle ready when promised and to get it back dirty inside and out. They will make the repair work eventually but expect to waste a lot of your time in the process.

They worked on two different cars to repair a/c. Both cars blow out cold. They have very reasonable prices

After being told by a local dealership that my car needed hundreds of dollars of work to include brakes and all fluids , I took my car to Gunder's and was enlightened to the fact that I did not need any of that at all. I appreciate their honesty and integrity and have recommended them to friends that have also had great results. Thankful for an honest place to have my car taken care of on every level.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS TIRE KINGDOM STORE OR ANY OTHER ONE. TAKE ALL YOUR CAR NEEDS AND SERVICE TO LLOYD POWERS AT "JUST BRAKES" ON HWY.98 NORTH IN LAKELAND as of June 16th, 2014. What a horrible company Tire Kingdom is, and the despicable assistant manager Norm, who caused the long-time Manager, Lloyd, and the best mechanic, Jimmy, to leave the store. Norm and his mechanics are terrible and not to be trusted.

My son & I both had our cars repaired here. I needed a new transmission & my son needed work on his truck. Both jobs were supposed to take maybe 5 days. I didn't get my car for 21 days! Auto Masters didn't even do the work! They farmed my car out to someone else & I still have no idea where it was or who did the work. After finally getting my car back, it never ran right. Still had problems & kept stalling on me. Would leave me stranded & would die going through an intersection & almost got hit more than once! Was not safe at all. Every time I took it back to them (3 month warranty) They would drive it for SEVERAL days, run ALL the gas out of the car & say it never stalled on us. To this day the car still stalls & runs poorly. My son's truck? Same thing. They kept it for close to a month & kept telling him they "ordered the wrong part." Staff was not friendly. One of the last times they had my car & called me to come get it, I got there @ 5:30 & no one was there. They're open til 6pm.

I went in for an a solenoid problem and they completely dismantled my transmission, without authorization. The manager, Charles Stevens, tried to bully me into paying between $2100-$2700 to put it back together. I practically had to go to my bank and then one he referred me to to try and get a loan for that amount, even threatened to put my car in storage. Finally got them to put the transmission back together for $512.88, although Charles said he was originally going to charge me $700. Within 5 miles of the shop, my transmission was slipping so severely (I had NO previous issues of slipping) that I had to have my car towed home, per my mechanic's instructions, to avoid burning up the clutch. Now, my car won't even turn over. But legal recourse is in position and I will have my day in court. DO NOT TRUST THEM !!!

These people are nasty and uncooperative. I asked for a receipt to be faxed or mailed and I was told "I'M NOT FAXING ANYTHING!' and they hung up on me. Save yourself a hassle and use somebody else.

This is the Worst Service I have ever seen ...Do Not Let Them Touch Your Vehicle ...I bought the Coupon for 3 oil changes and tire rotation so I made an appointment when I saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum were going to put a pair of Vise Grips on my Hood support rod to hold the hood up which would have Scared the rod and Worst Bent the Hood Hinges on my Classic IROC Convertible , Thank God I Caught them before they put their Extreme Stupidity in action ... I had to supply them with a Hood support and the oil that I use in all my Vehicle because they only use low quality oil. I asked them to rotate the tires and the owner mumbled something about that I didn't need it , I think he was being Lazy and he wasn't happy that I was using a coupon... Well he won in the end because I will never go back there again and neither should YOU ... If you do have to go there because you bought a coupon , #1 Keep an Eye on Them at all Times ...#2 make sure you bring your own oil ...#3 bring an old 5 quart container to put your old oil in to take with you because they Charge Garbage Fee of $5.00 to dispose of your oil which they actually sell to oil recyclers making money on both ends...You can drop the oil off at any oil change place for Free #4 Have them put there Low quality oil in the container that you brought with after they put your oil into your Vehicle, "You can use it in other machines"... #5 Just Don't Do It ...It's Not Worth It ...
