We were broke down while travelling. Myron dropped what he was working on and got us back on the road. The started testing the truck while the tow truck driver was still unhooking! Myron even loaned us his car to go get something for lunch while they worked on it. Less than 2 hours later we were back on the road. If you have a Ford diesel don't let anyone else in Orlando touch it!!!

PLEASE READ: I'm not one to normally write bad reviews as I usually just write this type of thing off as a learning experience and move on. But having now had a couple days to think, I just can't ignore the way this business treated me. After getting several recommendations I decided to bring my wife's vehicle here to address an overheating issue. The staff were all very friendly and I dropped the vehicle off feeling hopeful that I would have a better experience here than I'd had at other businesses. I received a call from these guys about 3 hours later where they explained what was causing the issue and how they would repair it. This was further reassuring to me as I knew what the problem was before taking them the vehicle and had even researched what it was likely going to cost to repair. The gentleman I spoke with was very friendly and said he'd even be able to offer me some coupons or discounts off whatever the cost would be. I thought "great, these guys know how to treat customers." We hung up the phone without him actually going over what the cost would be but I figured whatever it was would be reasonable given how minor the repair was. A couple hours later I received another call stating the vehicle was ready and good to go. After a little more friendly banter I told him I'd be down later to pick up the vehicle and before hanging up I asked him what the final bill was. He quoted me for 1.3 hrs. of labor plus parts and again mentioned that the final bill would of course be less with any added discounts he could get me. Mind you, I had already researched the cost of the part he replaced so when he told me the total cost I thought he was surely joking. All the van needed was a heater hose assembly which is available online for as low as $25. As this part is easily removed and replaced, I was a little taken aback by the 1.3 hours he says it took but was floored when he quoted me $589! He responded to my disbelief by again saying he'd be able to lower that with some coupons or other discounts and I hung up wondering what the heck the deal was. When I later went to pick up the vehicle, I took a peek at the initial bill and it wasn't $589, it was $627! They must have known I was about to lose it so they pretended to act as if they didn't know why it was so high and disappeared into the garage to presumably speak with the mechanic. They returned and started typing something on the computer and eventually asked me to come around and look at their screen. They showed me an invoice which was supposed to show their cost for the hose assembly which was $105. They discounted some of the other items and reduced the bill down to a final charge of $398.78. I usually avoid dealerships due to their high labor rates ($130+/hr) and endless maintenance recommendations but I'm quite sure even they wouldn't have charged such a ridiculous amount. I guess I should be happy that instead of paying the $262.57 they originally wanted to charge me for a $25 hose assembly I ended up only paying $145 (after markup)! By avoiding the $130+/hr. labor at the dealership I was fortunate enough to have paid $185.90 at only $143/hr., though once you include the labor they added in for draining whatever was left in the radiator I actually paid them $217.49 for 1.3 hrs. labor. To be fair, they did give me a $6.48 discount on the $14.99 gallon of antifreeze they advertise for $12.74 on their website. Even ignoring the $26 in taxes I still ended up paying about twice as much as I should have by the time I left there. It was in looking over my receipt again that the egregiousness of what transpired hit me. The strategy of overcharging me a ridiculous amount only to get me to accept them still grossly overcharging me worked flawlessly. My brother's a mechanic up north in Michigan and even he was shocked that a corporately owned establishment could be so brazen and figures these guys must work on some type of commission. If you value your money, do yourself a favor and don't lose any to these guys, they'll steal as much from you as you'll let them.

The oil sending unit in my wife's truck broke and pumped out most of the oil in the engine. Thankfully there was Mobil 1 in the engine. Mark found the problem quickly and fixed it, changed the oil and she's back in service. Mark is very intelligent, knowledgable and has always been very honest in his dealings.

My wife and I are new to this area and this was our first visit to Best Choice Auto Care. Everyone we came in contact with during the process of getting our truck repaired was friendly and professional. Our truck is 25 years old and so the bolts at the manifold were old and rusty. One of them broke off flush when being removed and took quite a bit of extra work to drill and tap. Communication with us was excellent throughout the diagnosis and repair process and the work was completed in a very timely manner. Even though it took an additional 3 hours to get the troublesome bolt out, the final price was very fair. We feel extremely lucky to have found Best Choice Auto Care and will continue to use them for our car repair needs. I highly recommend them.

I would have given it no stars if possible. I went in for an oil change, but ended up spending nearly $200 for services "I needed unless I wanted to break down". They insisted I needed a new air filter, cabin air filter & that my radiator needed to be serviced. When I said that all I wanted was an oil change they told me that my engine would most likely overheat & burn up if I went anywhere long distance. So I caved & got it done since I have to drive to school in Orlando twice a week. Well, I was talking to another female co-worker today & complained about having to spend the extra money so close to christmas. And how about she had the SAME exact thing happen to her when she went a few months ago. I should have known something was wrong. Hell, they were showing the lady before me how her old filter looked compared to the new one. I just did not put two & two together at the time. I would not be surprised if I still have the same old air filters as before seeing as they were done with everything in less than 20 minutes. I have learned my lesson. From here on out I will NEVER go to a mechanic alone again. And I will NEVER go to the Xpress lube in Port Orange again!

absolutely the worst, this is the xpress lube at new smyrna beach north dixie ave.. Came in looking for just an oil change and the guy behind the counter ends up trying to sell me everything and when I kindly said no thank you he questions me like im passing up a deal of a life time and actually gets an attitude with me. on my way home something was telling me to check my oil because there was something awfully funny about their sales rep so once I got home (which was less then 5 miles away) sure enough my dip stick reads a quart short. An 05, no leaks.. they shorted me a quart of oil. Rude, pushy and shadey, Ill never take my vehicle there again...

I was skeptical when my starter went out at work because my regular mechanic happened to be on vacation, and my towing coverage would not cover towing my car all the way to his shop. I needed my car fixed locally and the same day so I could drive it home. I had AAA tow it to Pep Boys and was really worried about the repair. It was going to be quite expensive and I had never used them before. My concerns were unwarranted though, because they did a great job, had my car done in plenty of time for me to pick it up before the end of my day, and the pricing even came in a bit lower than quoted. Very happy with Pep Boys and will continue to give them my business whenever I need parts or services!
