Transmission repair service near Stuart, FL

My brother in law who ran a mechanical shop in Atlanta found Rapid Auto Care. They replaced brake parts on a Mercedes and he was happy. My Tesla front end was squeaking like a haunted house and knocking so he sent me to Rapid Auto Care to replace upper suspension control arms. They did a great job, car was ready when promised and price was great. I spent $$$$ at Tesla and they couldn't fix it but Rapid Auto Care did and it is still quiet and tight. Very happy with the service and I will return.

This is now my New mechanic, as mine retired 2 yrs ago. They listened re: concerns & issues, then fixed each 1 in a timely manner, & took the time to give me great short to long term maintenance tips. They fixed a clanking noise that no one else took the time to care to fix. I will be returning to them, Not with dread, but with confidence, because they take pride in their work. Thanks T!

Dave and his partner know what they're doing, they found out what the electrical issue was fixed it, and bonus fixed my driver side switch for me. Overall these guys get it done. Price was fair as well. I will always go to them for any mechanical or electrical issue for my vehicle. Highly recommended Two thumbs up!!!

I have an AOS failure on a 07 Boxster 987. The smoke remains after the AOS is replaced. Adam inspected the car and cleaned all the intake components. Oil everywhere in the wrong places. Car is running great now. Great customer service and I am so glad that I found an expert who is friendly and honest. I plan to keep my car for a while and will definitely have Adam to service my car in the future. If you have an European car especially a Porsche, I highly recommend Treasure coast classics.

Stay clear of the transmission hospital. Staff is friendly and have a can do attitude, but the quality of their workmanship is suspect. We took our family vehicle in for repairs and had a series of failures and incompetent work. For example, on original repair began having issue within a few weeks. We took vehicle for an inspection, at another shop, and upon inspection discovered that bolts were not on the transmission. I'm not talking improperly tightened bolts, I'm talking laying on top of the transmission. They used the wrong transmission fluid also, Honda's have specific fluid. The second trip was for a "switch failure". The third trip was for continued issues with the repair. The repairs are warrantied, but who wants to keep bringing their vehicle in every few months with the same outcome. Save your time, money and frustration and go elsewhere.

They rebuilt my transmission 3 years ago. It is not right and I expected to pay a strongly reduced price like cost of parts for a second rebuild 3 years later. $1900 for the first rebuild and $1700 for the second 3 years later? Not good enough. When I suggested that was not acceptable they said they would rework the price and patch it up. No confidence in that response. Rip off a girl. Never again. My tire guy who I LOVE recommended him but will no longer. I know that bad things can happen but I expected a better response. I should have gotten 100-140k and maybe got 30? :( unexpected for a small town business to not stand behind their work. I just talked to another friend of mine who said he only got 40,000 out of his transmission and he spent over 3k on his. he had added transmission coolers and everything that was recommended. So that is at least 2 people who are very dissatisfied with this place.

This is by far, the most PROFICIENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE and HONEST automotive service I have encountered since moving to Port St Lucie 2 years ago. I purchased a used vehicle that I needed to check out as it had very high mileage. I needed to have my fuses checked and my moonroof to operate- they informed me that I would be charged one hour of labor for a diagnostic and if it could be fixed the charge would be prorated to the actual time of repair. Fuses checked and the moonroof was opened (unfortunately the tracks and motor needed replacement and I elected to just leave it open due to the cost of replacements/installation). I was ONLY charged 30 minutes of labor and came away with LESS than half of one hours labor!!! All the techs (AND Service Manager) were cheerful and took the time to explain each step involved and to return if anything else came up. I have another issue which was resolved and dealt with their thorough knowledge and service--truly 5 STAR SERVICE!! I am a senior citizen and trust AMO Auto Service for competence and completeness---also very nice lobby!!!!!!!! Michael S.

We just moved from the FL Keys to PSL and brought our Winnebago RV built on a 2006 Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis. We are the original owners and we treat it with great pride and care. After doing a lot of research, and checking out lots of reviews online, we paid a visit to Duane and checked out SLAD. We were impressed and felt confident that SLAD was the place to service our beloved RV in the future, for many reasons, too long for this short review. We have since brought our RV in for evacuation and charge of its a/c. The service was performed professionally while I waited. The price was fair and the a/c now blows ice cold. I have been to many auto repair shops and met many auto mechanics, some good, some not so much. I had some discussions about the MB Sprinter chassis, and found that Wayne was up to speed on all the details on this vehicle. I have a lot of confidence with Wayne and SLAD being the auto shop I will be using for all my RV chassis future needs.

Frank had worked on a 1963 chevy convertible I had and did a great job. I had him work on my wifes 2013 GMC Terrain and so when I got my 1956 yes 1956 thunderbird and wanted to change to power disc front brakes and to put an electronic windshield wiper system into this new old car I thought about going to a shop thaat specializes in antique cars and decided because I trusted Frank the owner of the shop I would let him do all the work : new muffler system, front disc brakes, electronic windshield wiper system etc. etc. As they say you get what you pay for. Frank did not disappoint me he is both honest and very knowledgeable. I have recommended Frank to many friends and they have all been happy with the work and honesty. I now walk around with cards for his shop and anyone I have discussion with I make sure to recommend Frank the owner and Adam. They are right you get what you pay for, If you are looking for bargins look else where , but if you are looking for honest knowledgeable mechanics who will not sell you something you don't need see Frank and say hello for me the guy with the 1956 Thunderbird.
