Brake repair service near Winter Garden, FL

Our 2012 Chevy Cruze needed various things done. We had several recommendations for him so we called before going out of town for a week and dropped it off to pick up when we returned. He did all the work for a very reasonable price and it's been perfect ever since. We were very happy to find him.

FORD OF CLERMONT service dept is run by crooks, liars and theives. I took my 2002 Tbird in for servicing as I needed a new battery and I also wanted to get my engine fan coolant reservoir flushed, drained and new fluid put in as I accidentally poured a few ounces of water in it by mistake. The service dept told me that the bearings in the engine fan were shot and that I need to replace the engine fan assembly as well as the coolant reservoir. Parts were $611 for the fan assembly and $122 for the coolant reservoir. Labor was quoted as $800 and they charged me a $90 diagnostic fee as well. I declined to have the fan assembly and coolant reservoir replaced but did have them install the battery which cost $114.99. I had a coupon from FORD for a battery for $84.99 but Ford of Clermont wouldn't honor it. So I paid $114.99 plus $90 for diagnostic tests. I took my tbird to Griffis Autos in Groveland to have them check it out. They did a full diagnostic test on the engine, fan, etc and also visually inspected the fan motor. They said there was no damage to the bearing, fan, motor, etc. They also drained the coolant reservoir as I requested, replaced fluid......total cost $70. I have driven car several hundred miles with no issues of overheating, etc. FORD OF CLERMONT LIED and tried to get me to purchase a fan assemby and reservoir and spend over $1500 on repairs I didn't need. LIARS and THIEVES. DO NOT take your car there....If you have a Ford or a Lincoln go to Griffis auto in Groveland. Honest, ethical and they have all the diagnostic equipment Ford has. The owner was head mechanic at Ford Of Clermont for over 20 yrs. I am in no way affiliated with Griffis but am so thankful to them for saving me a ton of money for repairs I didn't need. As far as Ford of Clermont goes, I will do my best to tell everyone to avoid them like the plague! Jim L. Clermont

Only 1 star because I can't give none. I'm am 15+ year mechanic, and I needed some tires (that I already had) mounted on my wife's car. I would do it but I don't happen to have that equipment sitting around in my garage. I called in advance and was told $13.99 to mount & balance each tire. It was made clear that this was the total "out-the-door price (incl. tax, etc.) I drove down the next day and was greeted by the on-duty manager. After ringing up a bill for only 2 tires the price was more than double for each. I played along and asked why. He said that I had a TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) and required an extra $20 per tire. I said I dont have TPMS, and he said "Yes you do, clearly you dont know anything about cars." I laughed in his face and drove 1/2 mile to the Tuffy Auto Care up the street, where the price was exactly what they quoted. Tire Kingdom? Crooks. Always have been. Always will be.

I HAD TO REPLACE THE SWAY BAR LINKS AND TIE RODS ON MY 2005 HONDA PILOT. I WENT SHOPPING AROUND AND FINALLY ENDED UP AT DAVE'S SHOP TO HAVE MY REPAIRS DONE. HIS FRIENDLY APPROACH AND COURTEOUS TECHS WERE VERY HELPFUL. MY BILL WAS LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT HONDA QUOTED ME ON LABOR COST. WITHIN TWO HOURS I GOT BACK MY VEHICLE WITH 100% CUSTOMER SATIFICATION. THANK YOU DAVE... I WILL REFER PEOPLE TO YOUR WORKSHOP ALL THE TIME. IMTIAZ

Tire pressure light came on, so I took my car to the local Honda dealership. The dealership said a nail in both of my front tires was causing the tire pressure light to come on. They said one of the tires could be patched (for $25), but the other couldn't be patched & needed to be completely replaced (for $150). Not wanting to pay that much, I immediately took my car to this Royal One Tires shop, which was just 1/2 mile from the dealership. The nails turned out to be 2 tiny broken off screws; both of which were less than 1/2 inch long. Royal One removed the tiny screws & discovered that because they were so small, neither had punctured my tires. No air pressure whatsoever had come out of either tire, and both tires were perfectly fine. Nothing needed patching or replacing. They could have very easily told me the same thing the dealership told me & just offered to do the work for less. I would have probably been OK with that and had them do it. But they said they were more interested in earning someone's trust & hopefully getting a new steady customer, than they were in making a quick buck off someone dishonestly. I will be going back to them for all future tire needs. They now have a new, steady customer!

Excellent Job and excellent price!!! They told and showed me what needed to be fixed on my Pontiac. Love the customer service and will def be back for any of my car needs.

I was very happy with the service ,at first I was concerned to bring my car in. as a women you always think the worst that you are going to be taken advantage of .but this was not the case I was not sure of the noise coming from my car ,one shop told us it was are transmission so we took it to AAMCO I was greeted by roger one of the managers and he took my information and was offered a cup of coffee. he had told us that one of there certified technition will check are car and after 15 or so minutes we were told the noise we heard was are front brakes and that it was not are transmission. we were so happy that we did not have a huge cost of repairs ,thanks to roger and the honest way this automotive shop is run,they have made us a customer for life.

Went in to get a starter replaced. Great fair price and amazing mechanics. I used to own a mechanic shop that i sold and these people know what they are doing A++ -Tom

Luis Alverio is very personable young man, I had passed the service center on my way to and from work, and was in need of car repair to my tired, old plymouth duster. Something was wrong with the start up, engine didn't turn over the way it should, but the dash battery was ok. Bought it to a service station(will remain ananymous) who informed me it would cost about $600.00 apparently they said I'd have to replace the battery, and starter. Of course with an estimate that high, got a second opinion. Story short, Luis gave me instructions, and with the aid of auto parts store across the street got a free battery diagnostic, and for the price of a new battery (98.00+tx) my car has been starting up fine. That was three months ago, recently brought it in for a windshield wiper bushing replacement, thougth the estimate was a bit high, but had it replaced...found out the total was right on. Talked to a customer while it was being attended to, and she gave praise to the honest, reliable, service. I am recommending my son go there for a window repair...I feel they will charge him a fair price.

I called Medic on Wheels because my car broke down on John Young Parkway and I was going to school. Mark the owner had my car towed somewhere that he could work on it and come to find out that my water pump in my car went out and he had back on the road that day. Mark took very good care of me and he made sure that he did not leave any grease on my car. He cleaned up after himself, and his prices are decent. He is not like all the other shops that charge you out the butt. I'm thankful that I found him and if I ever have another problem I'm going to Mark. I'm relatively new in the area, and needed to find a reliable automotive repair and service shop to help me with numerous issues that have been creeping up with my car recently. I had been noticing some issues with my suspensions, alignment, and some strange things happening with my engine, and since I'm not an expert, I needed a shop that would provide honest, friendly, and courteous service and wouldn't try to take me (and my wallet) for a ride. I was pleased when I called Car Port Specialist on a whim and had a pleasant conversation with them over the phone. They were patient with me and didn't talk down to me or make me feel small for not knowing exactly what the problem was. I came in the same day and they did some diagnostic testing, and I didn't even have to pay from the estimate. For me, this was big; other shops I called had no patience for me being unsure about the exact nature of the problem, and would have charged a substantial amount for the estimate. In the end, I was expecting the repairs to be more expensive than they were. Ultimately the engine issue was minimal, and the prices for everything were extremely fair. They were pretty quick with my car, and even gave me a ride home. Diana Spirelli

I have been using Chris to maintain my BMW for the past couple of years, and he has been nothing short of a blessing to me. Sometimes I feel like he cares more about my car than I do. I am not in favor of going to the dealership, I feel as though I am overcharged for subpar service there. Id much rather have a personal touch any day. Outside of saving me money on regular maintenance items he was also able to resolve a long standing problem that the dealership wasn't able to properly diagnose. I'm pretty sure the dealership guys didn't lose any sleep when I said I cant afford anymore diagnosis without a solution, but Chris didn't give up until he resolved my issue. So, in my book he gets a grade A..I don't pay for customer service, I pay for honesty and reliable car repair...if I want a smile and a cup of coffee I will gladly go to Starbucks! If I want my BMW fixed right I will go to Bavarian Automotive!

Chris is the best. My wife was stuck in Orlando while moving our son to school there from Destin. Truck was loaded with stuff and it wouldn't crank. Called Chris and he assured me he would handle it and treat us right. I work on a ship and was in port up north so he was in contact over the phone. He stored the truck overnight in the shop to keep our stuff from getting wet due to thunderstorms. He assessed the issue in the morning and found nothing wrong. Truck ran fine for a day. Next day it happened again. Brought it in again at no charge per Chris and still couldn't find an issue. Truck runs fine now. Must have been a particle lodged in the system I assume. Chris was courteous, honest and only charged us for one hour labor plus the usual tax. I would recommend his shop to anyone. He even called the next day to see that my wife made it home. What shop does that anymore? Thank you Chris!

We brought in a used vehicle we had just purchased because the gears were not shifting smooth and there was a troubling vibration at low speeds. The diagnosed the issue, added an additive that immediately resolved the issue and we did not get soaked on the cost. We truly appreciate the fact that we have been able to rely on Dealer Service Alternative team to be ethical, efficient, helpful and prompt. They are the best, and we won't trust anyone else with our cars!
