For 3 years I visited the Tires Plus in Buford, Ga off Sardis Church Rd. I started questioning the service and honesty after having brakes replaced multiple times. Each time they told me something else was wrong. So I had rotors replaced, brakes were still bad. Went back they said now I needed new calibers,brakes were still bad. Went back again, they said one of the calibers was faulty and needed replacing. My brakes were still now working properly but at this point I had given up assuming it was just old car. Once I started having tire and brakes problem not long after this I went to another shop. I also began looking up my tires plus history to share with the new mechanics. They showed me that not all the calibers were changed (despite me telling tires plus repeatedly that my brakes were not working). And that everything needed to be replaced again. They took me to the back to show me. As I looked at my service history not only did feel I was scammed on work done on my car, but I had purchased a total of 8 tires in 2 to 3 year span (with road hazard) and was now on tires again 9 and 10. Not only is that a ridiculous short time needing tires but they never once gave me free or discount for the road hazard. I have contacted their corporate office. I received one email saying someone would be in touch with me. I have yet to hear back from them. I will say the manager at the location eventually offered to repay the calipers but since the job was not done fully and properly as well as the tire situation I didn't feel this was fair.

Wife took our 2001 Hyundai Sonata up there to have new rotors put on, brakes put on and an oil change. Wife's grandmother asked why the car was RPM'ing up to 4000rpm and wanted the shop to look at it. They told her she needed a new throttle body(Said it had a 2002 throttle body in it and it wouldn't work with a 2001 so they needed to change it) they replaced her throttle body with one they most likely pulled out of a car at the junkyard. The "newer" throttle body they installed had paint marks the manufacturer marks on OEM parts(clearly it wasnt tested to see if everything works). Took the car home after 3 days it wasn't even a few minutes after 5:30 when we picked the car up from the shops lot, got in cranked it up and the engine was struggling to even stay cranked it was shaking very hard and was making a lot of noise. When put into gear the car shook to the point of making the mirrors and everything fall forward. We took the car home called the shop the next day and explained the situation. They told us to bring the car back up there and they would take another look and it would only take a hour and they would call us back. After several hours we received a call back and they said it was working fine now and they just adjusted the throttle cable. When we arrived they said they ran a test and now we needed new coils(yet we have never had this code before nor did we have a check engine light until the shop messed with our car). We left the shop because we didn't have the money and took the car to Autozone and had them reset the engine light and read the codes for us. Codes came back as we needed new coils and there was an evap leak. Guy at autozone quickly realized that the guys at Stop and Ride had kindly switched our spark plus wires around making the car misfire and that's why the car started reading a misfire and jerking after we took the car to stop and ride. We rode around and it seemed a little better and after the Check engine light came back on we returned to autozone and had them run another test, this time no Coil misfire (what a coincidence) and was just reading an evap leak now. We took the car home and I checked for leaks, still haven't found any. However, I removed the intake hose and looked into the throttle body stop and ride "replaced" for us and to my surprise the entire thing was covered in carbon build up (did they just pick this thing off the side of the road or something?) I cleaned it with some throttle body spray and a rag and connected everything back. To this day roughly 5 months after stop and ride put their hands on our car the car hasn't ran well enough to drive. Car jerks very hard still (almost to the point of causing the mirror to fall), the car drops below 500 rpm when it is put into gear, stutters to accelerate and when sitting at idle the car runs at the normal 750rpm but sputters and moves between 750-500 without your foot ever touching the pedal and the car makes a popping sound through the exhaust when you push the pas pedal sometimes. Needless to say, our car ran perfectly fine before stop and ride touched the car, now it's a yard ornament. We have called the shop and they claim innocence on everything and will not replace anything to have our car back in the shape it was before they touched it. We basically paid them 800$ to destroy our car. We will be contacting Clark Howard at Channel 2 WSB-TV if something isnt done to get our car back into the shape it was before. The guys at the shop try to play this off and act as if we are stupid or something and have no clue what has happened. UPDATE: When we called Hyundai to talk to a master Tech he said that the car would run perfectly fine with a 2002 Throttle Body, that there wasnt a reason it needed to be changed. So basically they just scammed my wife into thinking she needed one so they could make some money off of her, and then most likely slap her throttle body online and sell it used.

I can’t say enough about Freed Performance. After getting my super charged 993 back from a dealership that was just doing some routine maintenance, it was in running horribly. No power and a strange very high cold start up idle. I took it to Sean and company at Freed and after a number of upgrades (RS cams, RS CLUTCH/flywheel, RS mounts, etc), a lot of extras while the engine was out, and troubleshooting the idle and power issues, the car is now incredible. Idles perfectly cold and warm, smooth/strong consistent power, very easy to drive clutch and feels rock solid. Thanks again guys!! Chris Ozment

Scotts Auto Center damaged my transmission in my 2007 dodge ram doing a routine service flush I have had the transmission serviced every 35000 miles from a dodge dealer in Cumming and have never had an issue. I had my truck in at Scotts to have some other repairs done and they recommended doing the flush because the fluid looked a little dirty. they said they would have the truck ready the next afternoon. Dan called at 5:30 pm and said there was a problem with my truck after they did the flush the truck would not move .and that they would have to do a complete rebuild of my transmission at no charge to me. I explained I have a HVAC company to run and a lot of customers to service over the next few days I told Dan I would need a rental so I could continue to run my HVAC company. long story short I spent 3 hours on sat driving 40 miles round trip and unloading my tools and parts and reloading into this rental van. as a result of Scotts damaging my truck I had to pay over time all weekend to my employees to get our customers taken care of. and when it came time to pick up my truck and pay the bill Scotts billed me for the transmission flush. I refused to pay for that part of the repairs and asked to speak to the owner Scott was very un professional about the whole deal. he told me I should be happy they paid for my transmission. I said the same one you messed up ? I went on to explain to him how much money this has cost me and how much of an inconvenience this has been. I was told if I didn't pay for the flush I wasn't getting my truck back. and then the owner Scott himself hung up on me . what kind of a way is that to treat a customer I was more than happy to pay for the other repairs they did. and our family has been customers of Scotts Auto for over 10 years. and Bob that is in charge of the front desk tried to justify it to me as well that they should be paid for the transmission fluid. its funny the transmission fluid costs the same as a transmission flush . Scotts Auto Center damaged my transmission in my 2007 dodge ram doing a routine service flush I have had the transmission serviced every 35000 miles from a dodge dealer in Cumming and have never had an issue.
