I just had to take my car in for a handful of repairs and maintenance issues. The people were very friendly and easy to work with. They were also honest (a rare trait in auto mechanics) advising me that some of the maintenance tasks I mentioned weren't actually necessary at this time. And when a part didn't arrive in time to be installed, they gave me a loaner car to use overnight. I didn't have to miss a single day of work. Great experience!

Amazing service, staff is incredibly friendly and honest and trustworthy. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else even though they're more than 30 mins aways.

I stumbled on Pro Automotive when I ran over a huge bolt and it stuck in my tire. Mike immediately got me in, repaired my tire, and told me about their other services, including their thorough check-overs with oil changes and the discounts you receive with each oil change. I took my car back to them and both he and Jennifer are super nice, they explain things in a way anyone can understand, the shop is reasonably priced, and they do great work.

I want to thank everyone at North Belt automotive for doing a great job on my car. They were really fast and professional I brought my car into the shop at 4:40pm Friday(the shop closes at 5). They allowed me to wait inside with my toddler son until my ride came, which unfortunately was running late. They called me by 11:30 Saturday evening. Great people work here. I took in an old 1972 351C block because of some stuck bolts I couldn't get with my tools at home. They got it off with no problem, they didn't charge me for anything. I had planned on paying for the use of the tool and a few minutes but they wouldnt let me. Definitely where I am taking my business from now on.

I agree with Gene. In my case I drive a diesel Sprinter, very hard to get good service on to begin with because it is all German. I live in Montana too. I was referred to Westport Autohouse by a friend whose personal experience was very similar to the other review. So I called and made an appointment. The owner - Mike- insisted that because he had to order parts I should plan on leaving it overnight. I told him - Ok but- I had to be finished by 4 PM on Thursday since i had to be in another part of the state for business on Friday. The initial estimate was fine and was accurate to what needed to be done according to my research on the problems and the symptoms. The final bill came in a bit higher but they had completed all the repairs, the van drove smoothly and perfectly for the first time in months !! I am elated. I had been in a Mercedes Benz dealership earlier to get the same things done and they wanted over $2,000 more and most of that was for the wrong stuff anyway. I highly recommend Westport Autohouse and plan to use them every time I need a repair in the future. Tim B.

We all know how hard it is to find trustworthy business people today who are genuinely concerned with your satisfaction, but these guys are the real deal! I've been a customer for several years and don't have to concern myself with wondering if I'm being given the right diagnosis or solution to the problem. It makes all the difference. Beware of the "Free State Inspection" Shady Mechanics, and Shady Business Practices. I took my truck that I rarely drive to get inspected. Emission was fine however during the state inspection they "found" something that they can fail me for. The technician thought he was talking to a idiot and tried to convince me that my tire had "excessive" movement and I needed a new tire rod and some other additional work. After he finished I informed them that I had all of that work performed the previous year. Took the my truck to Midas where I was going to get the work done the mechanic advised me that my truck in in good shape and the work Car X said I needed was a joke. After talking to Tim (manager) he was willing to have my car looked at again by a different technician. After taking off of work for a second time, they were still trying to convince me that I needed to spend $$$. Now if Midas was not willing to take my business (money) after their inspection why would I pay Car-X? They are true Scammers and try to take advantage of hardworking people. Get a second opinion before allowing them to perform work on your car....You might not need it! I will never set foot in a Car-x again!

I took my car in for the $99 brake special at the end of July '14 to have my front brakes taken care of. I was told I had a seized caliper and that they should be replaced in pairs - an additional $485 and that my pads were worn unevenly 2 & 8mm (they hadn't gotten to the rotors or anything else yet). I told them I wanted to check to see if they were under warranty and it turns out they were, so I had them stop what they were doing and put it all back together. The service advisor was not happy about that. The next day, when the dealership was done with my car, they told me that there was nothing wrong with the calipers - nothing needed to be replaced in the first place and that calipers don't need to be replaced in pairs - unless you subscribe to the 'one went out, the other probably will too' theory - and that the wear measurements they gave on the pads were completely inaccurate. My takeaway from this place - they will gouge you for hundreds of dollars at the drop of a hat if you don't know anything about cars or don't think to question your warranty or get a second opinion. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.
