Alternator took a dump, found this mechanic shop in Plainfield, IL, near me, towed it in and bam got lucky left 3 hours later. This Plainfield auto repair shop is on top of their game. Thanks for getting me in and back on the road so quick and cost effectively.

I took my car in not knowing what to expect after my daughter had hit a curb hard and also noticing weird noises coming from my fairly newly bought used car. 59 Auto took it right in and fixed it very quickly and it didn't cost nearly as much as I had feared. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I own Douglas Automotive Repair Inc and am sorry you experienced some quality issues with our shop. I am a certified technician and have been for 35 years. We always use high quality parts in our repairs; through the years we’ve been in business we’ve found that it just doesn’t pay to use lower quality parts unless it’s a customer request to keep costs down. We did have a period where we were having employee quality issues, but have since resolved those. It’s very unfortunate that it impacted some of our customers as we worked through it. I had a terrible experience dealing with this company. I will be sure to call the Illinois Commerce Commision at 1-800-524-0795 to file a complaint and may possibly take my case to small claims court. I am a 65 year old Grandmother from North Carolina who was traveling with her daughter-in-law to Joliet, Ill. for a wedding on Sept. 6, 2014. A "Low tire pressure" signal showed on her Chevy HHR on the way to the wedding and we were directed to NTB by her uncle - who owns a tire business in Middletown, Ohio. I was advised by the tech that if the tire could be repaired, it would be about $25.00. I waited only a very short time for the evaluation and repair before I was ready to return the wedding festivities. Everyone was so nice and they sent me on my way without charging me anything (Out-of-State courtesy!) Best customer service anyone could ask for...they now have a customer for life. I have a 1992 Mercedes Benz 400E. It had been sitting a long time and was misfiring bad and the blower motor was not coming on. I already knew what was wrong when I took it to them but wanted to see what they would tell me. Talk about honest.......You will not find a more honest, reasonable, and reliable auto repair shop anywhere. They diagnosed and fixed the problems I had and the car has never run better.
