I've been going to Chapel Hill Tire for 35 + years, and have always had absolutely fantastic service. I know that the professionals at CHT always give me the best advice for my wallet, not their own. I literally chose to sell one vehicle and purchase another based on their insight and experience. Their honesty has saved me huge amounts of money over the years. Today I was fortunate enough to work with Bucky. It was a simple inspection, but they were packed with those of us who had procrastinated until the last moment. Despite it being 5:00 on New Years Eve, and even though I'm sure everyone was exhausted and just wanted to get home and start their holiday evening, Bucky and his team kept working, helping folks with assorted issues, and solving problems with care and great good humor. Visited for car annual inspection and tire rotation, they did it quickly and examine my car steering lean issue according to my description, no issues were found with steering, but when I drive the car back home, the problem seems to be disappeared after tire rotation. Fantastic job done, guys! They really know cars! Will definitely come back later.

I highly recommend this Aamco. I had a bad experience with the previous owners not honoring a warranty on a clutch. Matt, the new owner, honored the warranty twice and replaced my clutch twice without asking a single question or trying to imply the clutch was my fault like the previous owners did.

SL500 2003. Battery light visit repair shop was on and after buying new batteries and a new voltage regulator the light was still on. It took a few days but the issue was diagnosed as a bad battery voltage regulator in the trunk. Car is running like a champ again.

One of the last real Service Stations in the world. They will actually pump your gas! Even if you're filling up with the less expensive self-service gas they offer to check your oil and tires. I've been using this station for tire repair, batteries, oil changes, gasoline for 25 years or so. They are always efficient, prompt, and honest. -Stephen Hulme

Our daughter is a student at NCSU and her car would not start ... We thought we would try a mobile mechanic instead of dealing with towing and repair at dealer. My daughter said they were extremely nice and replaced starter for less than estimate. Would highly recommend !!

My names Quinton and I had the guys at Mikes to do me a transmission rebuild.....I was scepticle at first bc their rates was so much lower than the competition. But I gave them a chance.....and boy am I glad I did. The manger kept me informed on the progress of my car And also did a excellent job on the rebuild.....true professionals ......thanks guys...for bringing my Lexus back to life....

My check engine light came on in my 2006 Kia Spectra. I had the codes looked at, and I was told that I needed to take my vehicle to a transmission expert. I took my vehicle to Affordable Transmission and Auto Repair on Capital Blvd in Raleigh. My car was repaired that week at a much less price than anticipated. I just want to thank Eddie for a job well done and for his honesty. If you are looking for honest and reliable mechanic I recommend that this is the place to bring your vehicle.

Horrible service and failed to honor warranty! Had a transmission replaced and failed to honor warranty when transmission required a second repair due to a faulty part. Had Messer Transmission replace the transmission in our Ford F-150. It was under warranty for 18,000 miles. Brought truck back in within 4 months of replacement being performed due to the transmission leaking. They told us they tightened the seal and it was fixed. We drove it to Colorado due to the military giving us orders to report to Fort Carson, Colorado from Fort Bragg, NC. During the drive the truck continued to leak and required 3 quarts of transmission fluid! It was overheating and had difficulty the entire way. Upon our arrival we took it to Best Western Transmission service in Colorado SPrings. They immediately told us that the seals were faulty parts and would need replacements. Messer transmission service was contacted and said they would send the replacement parts. They refused to pay the labor cost and while speaking on the phone with Steve he informed us that our warranty was no longer valid. He also said we could drive it back to NC and have it repaired at his shop. This is not a possibility since the truck would not even make it to NC due to the transmission problems. He replaced a transmission and refused to honor the warranty. He also refuses to accept responsibility for his company making a costly mistake that we are still paying for.

First time customer - I took my Chrysler 300 in for brake noise and was told I needed new calipers, rotors and fluid. They seemed nice, and told me I also needed new lug nuts because the last garage had put them on too tight. After $1,100 I picked up the car after hours and it still made wheel noise, only this time a bump bump bump sound. I had to take the car out of town the next day. While in VA I stopped for gas and to check out the increased noise. The tire was loose. I had the car towed to a different garage and they told me the lug nuts had not been tightened and the brake line was not properly connected. I called A&J to explain and sent them a copy of the invoice with photos from the other shop. The person on the phone said he'd let the owner know. Since then (one week) I've reached out and have heard nothing. No discussion, no offer to help, no apology. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
