My check engine light came on in my 2006 Kia Spectra. I had the codes looked at, and I was told that I needed to take my vehicle to a transmission expert. I took my vehicle to Affordable Transmission and Auto Repair on Capital Blvd in Raleigh. My car was repaired that week at a much less price than anticipated. I just want to thank Eddie for a job well done and for his honesty. If you are looking for honest and reliable mechanic I recommend that this is the place to bring your vehicle.

First time customer - I took my Chrysler 300 in for brake noise and was told I needed new calipers, rotors and fluid. They seemed nice, and told me I also needed new lug nuts because the last garage had put them on too tight. After $1,100 I picked up the car after hours and it still made wheel noise, only this time a bump bump bump sound. I had to take the car out of town the next day. While in VA I stopped for gas and to check out the increased noise. The tire was loose. I had the car towed to a different garage and they told me the lug nuts had not been tightened and the brake line was not properly connected. I called A&J to explain and sent them a copy of the invoice with photos from the other shop. The person on the phone said he'd let the owner know. Since then (one week) I've reached out and have heard nothing. No discussion, no offer to help, no apology. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
