My 3 speed manual transmission would not work and I was stopped in the middle of Rt 202 in Flemington. Lucky for me Dave's Towing flatbed was at the light so he made a u turn and picked me up and took me to American Auto Care. I jumped out and told Fred and Scott that I had a wedding and could they check and see if they could get me running again. They diagnosed the failure in 1 minute and went to work and Matt jumped in and the 4 of them took part of my transmission apart, spot welded a couple of broken retainer rings and rebuilt the 1st and 2nd gear assembly. In 2 hours they called and said "your truck is ready to go" and sure ennough it was running again. I was able to make the bride happy when I called and told her that my first call about not getting to the Church is cancelled and I will be there to drive her and her groom. This shop scams people. DO NOT COME HERE. I have FULL COVERAGE car insurance in which I do not have to pay anything in the event of a car accident. When I first called to release my car, they said that my car wasn’t there for 2 days. Meanwhile, incurring storage charges. This is the oldest trick in the book to get money when they “can’t find” your car. My vehicle was here for 2 full weeks sitting in their lot HOSTAGE. Insisting on ME paying them cash or credit card to be released to my insurance approved body shop. They dodged almost every single one of the insurance company’s calls when they tried to pay the tow and storage fees from them. Multiple times they claimed the owner was not in or the woman who deals with billing was out. Stalling to get more days in storage fees. When my mom went down there to sign the release paperwork, (7 days in at this point) the owner Benny tried to hustle $800 cash or credit card from her so “they could tow it to the new body shop.” Their attitude towards me and my mom were very demeaning. As a young woman, they tried to intimidate and bully money out of me by giving me misleading and incorrect information at EVERY interaction I had with them. They would not have treated me this way if I was a male. I ended up calling the police to assist me with ensuring my car gets out after 2 frustrating weeks. I saw the bill was only $920, including the 2 tows and 14 days in storage fees. Something doesn’t add up here. This is why tow-truck companies and body shops get a bad reputation, because of predators like them. Unprofessional, rude, shady people.

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago. A car just rear ended me and I ended up going through the other person's insurance. I was recommended to go to Joe's Auto Body in East Orange by their insurance company, as it was very close to where I live. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Glen and his staff, from Joe's Auto Body. Everyone was so nice and very welcoming. As soon as I dropped off my car, they had a person from enterprise pick me up. My car was in the shop for a total of two days. Every day I would receive an email with a picture of my car and what they were doing at that time. I thought this was awesome, and honestly, I never heard of any other shop doing this. My car was a mess, I dropped it off the morning I got back from New Hampshire, I was rather embarrassed about how messy it was. I was shocked the day I picked it up from Joe's. It had been completely detailed and cleaned. It must have taken them a good couple of hours to just clean and wash everything. I recommend Joe's Auto Body to everyone!! I will certainly be going back for any maintenance I need done in the future!

Do not use this mechanic. I went in to replace my brakes. When I picked up my car they charged me $85 more than the quote. A week later I had to bring it back as the brakes were still low. They tried to charge me additional money to re do the repairs. The mechanic was rude and was angry that I brought my car back. Once he saw the shield in my car he calmed down and said he would fix it I left and went to another mechanic and was informed that they did not replace the parts they just cut them and used cheap pads. They are not in the business to service customers They are in the business to ....... ......

We've been going to Carlo's for about three years now, and have nothing but GREAT things to say about this establishment. We've dealt with mechanics in several states across the U.S. and overseas, and Carlo's is the most comfortable place we've every dealt with. They are excellent about contacting us with an estimate - and options about repair work (what needs to be done immediately, what we could reasonably do ourselves, etc.) - before making any repairs.

Annandale repaired in a few minutes an intermittent electrical problem that had plagued our car for 3 years and that our new car dealer was never able to trace or fix. They have gained our confidence and we intend to take our cars there even though we live 180 miles away.

I have a 2000 Saab that had a blown turbo and Alex was able to find me the best price around and I have had no problem with the turbo ever since.
