Powertrain Automotive was established June 11, 2007. This family owned and operated repair facility is located at 28910 Euclid Avenue in Wickliffe, Ohio. After twenty three years in the same location, retiring owner Steve Combaj sold his repair facility known as Universal Mechanic to lead technician David Kozlowski. It was then that the name was changed and Powertrain Automotive was born. David is an ASE Certified Technician with over twenty years experience in the mechanical repair field. It took years of planning and a lot of hard work to make this automotive repair facility a reality. Better yet there is a lot more to come! Our biggest goals are turning out a quality repair job as well as customer satisfaction.

Went to Firestone, had their 'Lifetime Alignment' (BS), wanted to get my van aligned they wanted over $400 for misc front end repairs, I checked everything in my garage (I can't do computer alignments) I then took my van to Certified where they also inspected everything and had the alignment done in 45min. Firestone wanted to make some $, they didn't know I've worked on my own for over 30yrs, Certified did not try to stick me with a bill, they did the work and my fuel economy more than doubled.
