After seeing all the excellent reviews of this place I thought I’d give them a try when I needed my rear drivers side window regulator replaced in June 2022. I am very sorry I did. The service I received definitely didn’t live up to the reviews. The first thing that happened was when they called to tell me the window was done they told me my front drivers side window regulator was broke now. I told them to just leave that one go and I would fix that one myself because I couldn’t afford to have them fix both at the moment. For the drivers side rear one they charged $165 for the part (which only cost about $100 in the store) and $135 for labor for a total of $318 just to fix the one window. I don’t consider that reasonable like all the reviews say. The shop I normally go to told me they would do it for about $100 less when I called to get a quote to get the newly broken front drivers side window regulator. I told Lauger’s I wanted my old broken window regulator back because it had a lifetime warranty and I wanted to exchange it at the store where I bought it to have a spare. Lauger’s LIED and told me they put the old part in my car. They kept it and I’m sure they returned it to NAPA and got more money back from it since it was a NAPA part! 16 Months after Lauger’s replaced the rear window regulator it broke and the window was stuck down. Since Lauger’s is a NAPA Auto Care Center I called them to have them replace it under the NAPA 24 Month/ 24,000 Mile Parts and Labor Guarantee. Lauger’s LIED again and told me the part is covered 2 years but labor is only 1 year. I called NAPA Corporate and confirmed that the part and the labor should both be covered for 2 years at Lauger’s and they didn’t understand why they would tell me only 1 year labor. I honestly don’t want Lauger’s anywhere near my vehicles after this because I don’t trust what they might do so I accepted their offer and picked up the new window regulator from them and installed it myself. When I took the broken window regulator out I noticed that it didn’t even match the part # that Lauger’s said they installed on my bill! This is outright fraud! I think they must have installed a cheaper part than the part # they charged me for on the bill which is why they refuse to honor the warranty. Don’t make the same mistake I did by believing the glowing reviews this place gets because it’s definitely not true. I learned an expensive lesson by putting my trust in them and will definitely not be going back and will also be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this place.

I am an outraged customer who took my car to Franklins to get my battery replaced. Not only was the wrong battery installed, but it was also mounted incorrectly despite obvious signs of this problem. The plastic clip on top would not even latch to close. When I got home and lifted the hood, LOOSE PARTS WERE SITTING BESIDE THE BATTERY, and the corrosion on the terminals was not cleaned. To top off this wonderful experience, the replacement inspection stickers that were placed on my car were incorrect, and I really enjoyed cleaning grease from the inside of my car. I was assured that these mistakes were not reflective of Franklin’s reputation. I admit – I may not know much about cars, but I do know that I do NOT trust Franklins with my vehicle and will not be a returning customer.

Ben, Josh and Nate at Meineke at West York go out of their way to help and take care of their customers. I have been bringing my cars there for the last two years. I have three old cars with lots of problems and frequently one of the cars was in the shop for repairs. They did high quality work. They provided free loaner cars while my cars were being repaired. Above all they care about their customers, have served our country, and are very involved in the local community by sponsoring organizations like the Chidrens Miracle Network. Earlier this year I was on my way to attend my daughter's college graduation in Harrisburg. On the way our van with nine people in it broke down on Rt. 83. I called Meineke. They immediately arranged for a tow, came and picked all of us up and soon we were on our way to the graduation in the loaner cars they provided for us. We were able to make it to the graduation on time. This is just one of many instances where they have gone above and beyond to help me. They are honest, reliable, provide excellent service and above all care about you the customer. I have used many different auto repair shops in my lifetime, but none have come close to the service I have received from them. Absolute horrible service! Overpriced and they do not stand behind their work. Patched problem, lasted two days. Went back in and they were going to charge us to fix their own work. Not to mention, they gave us a quote to fix the problem and didn't even include the labor. This store should be shut down!
