I posted the comment on Sept. 14 about putting a hole in my oil pan. they did put the tiny hole in the pan, just not the way I said. I apologize. the plate that reinforces the drain plug hole is attached by 3 spot welds. if you tighten the plug too hard, it breaks one of the welds and puts a hole in the pan. that is what happened. I have learned that happens to often with japanese cars. you have to use a new gasket EVERY time or it leaks.
I let this place change my oil for years. never a problem. never sa... read more I let this place change my oil for years. never a problem. never saw even a drop of oil under my car. last 2 oil changes, I had leaks. one fixed with new plug gasket. last leak was caused by their 3 pronged gadget they fastened to the pan. it punched a tiny hole in my oil pan so small it took 2 trips to a mechanic for them to find it. I saw it myself.
I have been to this shop several times with two different vehicles. A ... read more I have been to this shop several times with two different vehicles. A 99 Nissan Pathfinder and a 92 Ford F150. The employees here are professional and always happy to explain anything you need them to. They have always been upfront about cost, and they are won't try to force you into work you don't need. People who are worried that they will get up sold on something they do not need should have no fear with this place. They do their best to get the work done quickly as not to leave you without your vehicle long. Obviously this varies based on what you are having done, but like the issue with price, they will let you know ahead of time so that you can plan accordingly. The longest I went was one week, but I was having a laundry list of stuff done to the F150. It is a family truck that sat for years without use. If issues arise during your cars stay they will inform you promptly. I have never left this place unsatisfied, and have made it a point to refer friends, family, and co-workers when they are having car troubles. Jordan M. Knoxville, TN
