Personable and not a bad location either. This isn't a big shop, but they are friendly and knowledgeable. They specialize in Jaguars, Land Rovers, and Mini Coopers. I must be one of many people who hate the Mini dealership (I drove all the way to the Woodlands to buy my Mini after reading reviews of Momentum Mini, but it's not practical to go there for maintenance). It's strange that I didn't hate Momentum Volvo when I had one....is it just the Mini folks for some reason? Mike is chatty and tells you what's going on with the repair, and knows what's going on with my car. I was so glad to find them.

I found the details of this place over the net. Wasn't sure when I first arrived and left my car repairs. But the gentleman (Mr JR) who worked on my car was extremely good at his job. He performed a thorough checkup, found the root cause and fixed my car. I would definitely recommend his workshop for Transmission related issues.

Delighted with their professional manner in which they conducted themselves. The job was well done and promptly completed. Del-tron was the second shop I took my truck to. The 1st said they replaced the transmission, charged me a bundle, but the engine malfunction light never turned off. I had it check by one of those chain transmission places and they reported that the transmission was still bad. A friend of my son told him about the great work of Del Tron Transmission. Thank God! Truck is up and running great! They also do other mechanical jobs. Should you need transmission work ,go there and they will do an honest professional job. Can't beat that in today's world.

After exhausting our local options we put the discovery 1 on a trailer and took it here. Most reviews were good so we thought we were lucky to find one only 5 hours away. We were mistaken. Maybe for maintenance work they would be ok, but to actually diagnose and fix the problem, I would never recommend them. The first time they had it for 2 weeks and $1100 later we had a tuneup, an ignition coil, new ground wire and spark plugs.... and a vehicle that still couldn't make it out of the parking lot. So keys in overnight slot again and it stayed for another 2 weeks. Both times my husband was told it was running well and they had been driving it around. Amazingly after one month and all the "driving" they did, we had 2 miles put on the truck and it still wouldn't get out of the parking lot. All of the things we had already replaced they replaced again... (ignition coil, oxygen sensor...) and wanted to keep it longer since they thought it was the mass air flow (had 2 sitting in the truck since we already went that route) and kept telling my husband the catalytic converters were blocked (3 months old... and would blow leaves across a parking lot). 2 days after trailering it home (another 5 hour trip there and 5 hours back) my husband talked online to a landrover owner who had similar issues. After checking the crankshaft sensor (as suggested) he discovered the 2 wires to/from the sensor were melted together. After fixing that problem it still "missed". So he went to look at the crank position ring and discovered a tine bent over. Because of this the sensor couldn't see it and was missing. After gently bumping the tine back up into place the sensor saw it and the missing stopped. It is running smoothly and perfectly. Now he just has to figure out why, after they rewired it, the front windows wont roll up or down, and the front sunroof won't either. I am not saying these people didnt want to fix it, I am saying that they should admit when they don't know and quit being parts replacers instead of mechanics. Also their master mechanic never seemed to be around, which makes me wonder if he was would it actually have gotten fixed. If you need a tune up, then this really doesn't apply to you but if you need a problem diagnosed you might want to think before sending it here. $2000 later and still not running any different when you pick it up, you have to ask if it is really worth it.

Came in for transmission service January 2017 and was told it would cost $600 to look at the transmission. I paid cash, got a hand written receipt, and I told Daniel (manager) to call me with an estimate. He calls me for with the initial estimate of $5000 less the $600 so $4400. I told him to wait for repair so I can talk to my wife, and that I’ll call him the next day. I called him the next day, and he said he’s completed repair of the car. I told him I did not agree to start, so he starts lowering the price to $3200. When I go pickup the car the next day, he tells me one of his porters got into an accident with my car (they said it was the other driver’s fault, which other driver said he was the porter’s fault). Long story short, I ask for owner’s contact info and he says it's private. I contacted him 17 times to get my car fixed (January to end of March). Car was left at the shop for over 1.5 months (tires went low). After which I took the car home and also inspected the transmission and found out the transmission dust cover was missing. I came back immediately and Daniel said he would not install the dust cover & claims it was missing before the repair which he also admitted that he would contact me if anything was out of the ordinary during the repair. After 3 months, Universal finally fixed my car due to the collision but with a very bad paint job/bondo work and missing/broken parts which I had to go back/forth to get fixed. Buyer beware of always negotiable transmission prices and no dust cover being re-installed. If they get into a collision with a customer vehicle, they never gave me their owner’s contact information and their shop insurance to make a claim after repeated requests, so I doubt they are insured. It’s also interesting that my $600 initial cash deposit is not included on my final receipt (only the $3200).

I have been to this mechanic over the past 2, almost 3 years. Finally realizing that they may have cost me money instead of saving me money. I initially went for an engine light. They diagnosed it as CATALYTIC CONVERTER. My car was in shop for 2-3 days. Not only did they say one of the catalytic converters CRACKED during the repair and needed to be welded while they fixed it, but the engine light was off for ONLY ONE DAY. Came right back on after I spent $800. Since that day, I have been back to replace the IONIC motor, power steering pump, a FULL TUNE UP that they claimed would fix the engine light. They always said that the TRANSMISSION was fine no matter how many times I reported a problem with it slipping or my car just completely turning off. I spent so much money there and I STILL have an ENGINE light on. Finally, took it to another mechanic someone recommended and he reported that they used CHEAP parts for the catalytic converters, didn't replace the sensors when they did the original work, and NOW the whole TRANSMISSION is messed up because it has been LEAKING. I BEEN SAYING TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION and they never did! Isn't that supposed to be their speciality? Now I will have to pay $2500 to fix my entire car. NO THANKS TO AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CENTER.

This place is not a reputable shop! My car stopped near here on November 2, and since all I needed was a fuel pump replacement, I let them do the service. Well I began having trouble with filling my tank after they fixed it. And then my car stopped again THE DAY AFTER they returned it to me. When I brought it back, Johnny claimed it was my "engine computer" that needed replacing, and the fuel pump was fine. At that point, I had the car towed to the shop I was familiar with. Turns out, the workers hooked my fuel return line into my vent system! That caused my charcoal canister and vent to fill with raw gasoline, and that repair cost me $560! Johnny also made me pay $60 for the tow back to his shop because "the problem was not related to his work". But as you can see, it most definitely was! I plan on taking this to small claims court. Don't go here unless you appreciate crappy worksmanship and being lied to!

About two years ago I took my car in to have a new transmission put in. It cost me 900 dollars but it was done quickly and I didn't have any problems with it. I've only driven the car 5000 miles since then and never on the freeway cause i use my newer model vehicle to travel longer distances. I recently got on the freeway to go across town while my newer car was getting a tune up and it would not shift to overdrive. I called and they said they would look at it and two days later they called me stating that I needed a new transmission and it was gonna cost an additional 800 dollars. I asked if they had taken the transmission out to check it and they said no. I informed them that the trams is only 2 years old and that it had only been driven 5000 miles to no avale. They said the transmission is only under a 1 year warranty and that I can take it somewhere else. Not a good experience at all and these people will rip you off

I CAME BACK AND THEY HAD TAKEN MY TRANS OUT AND TORE IT APART. I TOLD HIM TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER I DID NOT AUTHORIZE OR REQUEST THIS! HE SAID THEY COULD NOT PUT BACK LIKE IT WAS CERTAIN THINGS WERE DAMAGED (DURING PULLING IT APART I'M SURE). AND IF THEY DID IT PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE THE SAME AS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. BOTTOM LINE I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR A REPAIR OF NEARLY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS, THE CAR ONLY COST FORTY EIGHT HUNDRED. BY THE WAY THE PART ONLY COST ABOUT FIFTY DOLLARS. I COULD HAVE A YOUTUBE VEDIO AND REPLACED IT MY SELF OR JUST BOUGHT A USED TRANS FOR THREE TO SIX HUNDRED AND PAID TWO OR THREE HUNDRED TO PUT IT IN. THE OWNER DID NOT KNOW OF DAVES (MANAGER) TACTICS I'M SURE. I'VE HAD WORK DONE HERE BEFORE DAVE WAS HIRED. I COULD HAVE TAKEN LEGAL STEPS, BUT FOR OLD FRIENDSHIP SAKE, I DID NOT. THIS IS NOT TO GET EVEN BUT TO INFORM THE UNSUPECTING, ALL TRUSTING, NIEVE, AND GOLABLE PERSONS LIKE I WAS. GET THE FACTS BEFORE LEAVIN. NOT A VAGE PHONE CALL AUTHORING SOME TYPE OF WORK. You all literally scammed me out of monies. I brought my car there to get a diagnosis on my AC because it was no longer working. The tech ran a scan, then recharged the freon ($270) only to tell me that the compressor was no good. Mike presented me with a quote of $2500 to replace it, parts and labor. From there, I took my car to another shop whom ran a scan and diagnosed the problem to be the pressor sensor. They charged me $340 for the scan, to replace the sensor, and recharge my freon and the AC has been working ever since. They also told me that you all should have know that it was the sensor before recharging the refrigerant. I will never return to your shop because I do not trust you. The same thing happened when Mike was on vacation and I brought my car in to have a water hose replace. You all did a bypass on my auxiliary water pump. I was told that the part had been discontinued and that the bypass was the work around per the dealership. Well, I called the dealership and was told that was not true as well and that bypassing the pump cause problems. When confronted with this information, after coming back from vacation, Mike insisted that only the hose had been changed which is not true. You all are not to be trusted and I will never refer you business.

I can't believe they're still in business, and I can't believe I'm the first to review It's a really long story, but I can only use 2000 characters, so I'll give you the bottom line. They refused to acknowledge problems which they created, yet fixed them secretly when the car was brought back. Bolts and parts were missing after the work was completed. The car will not shift into gear, and makes horrible screeching, grinding, and clanking sounds when the clutch is not fully engaged. You have been warned. 2007 Mini Cooper S Turbo.

I am shocked that Bemer Motor Cars auto repair would receive good reviews when the owner/operator Mr. Julian Martinez has done nothing but give me the run around on an estimate to repair my 1972 Mercedes. He had my vehicle for nine (9) business days and could not give me an estimate when he promised the estimate in two (2) business days. After the second business day ended, Mr. Martinez kept telling me to come back tomorrow and he would have an estimate. This went on for the next seven (7) business days until I picked up my Mercedes and took it to another repair shop. With this said, customers "BE AWARE". What Mr. Martinez finally gave me is an offer to purchase my classic 1972 Mercedes for $1,500.00. Something to think about before you trust your investment to Mr. Julian Martinez owner and operator of Bemer Motor Cars / Auto Repairs). May GOD forgive him for the way he has treated me and the treatment he is about to give you.

I was baited in with a low price and promises of quick service. Once they had me by the cojones and had gutted my transmission, they changed the terms of our verbal and written agreement and proceeded to charge me three times more. They dented and scratched my car and acted as angry children when I had my car removed from them. I had to pay another shop to finally fix the problem. My experience with the other shop wasn't a great improvement either, but Rene's Transmissions is in a class of their own as far as being an all around sham and scam of an operation.
