Save your money and do not go there. Not even week after getting a sub installed from there, it was blown. I paid less than $200 for installation, which is not that expensive(parts and labor), but if you just go to other place and pay $4~500 like a normal person, you can save money in a long run. I am going to have to re-install everything again all over again so do not give even a penny to DFW Audio Shop. They have cheap products (three-piece fuse holder, wires, etc.) They did not even tune my amp properly and they are just there to steal your money and send you on your way. They also wired the wrong way or should I say easier way for them, when I put the key in accessory, nothing plays; just when I actually turn the car on. After wasting $300 on a sub & enclosure, I bought a new one and went to other shop. They were surprised how my car was still in one piece; guy told me that DFW Audio used cheap wires and it could lead to fire hazard. Cheap wires can damage the car chip and even worse, burn your car to the ground. It'd be easier on your wallet to just go to other place and get it installed "properly" When you install anything in your car, it's best to pay someone who knows what they are doing. I had bad experience with one of the muffler shop as well. My aftermarket muffler wouldn't fit properly so I had to go to the shop even though I knew how to do it. Stupid guy cut off the arms and removed the factory mount and just welded a pipe to the frame. They decided to tell me what they did without even getting my consent. Find good place and research a lot. It's always best to take your time and seek thoroughly. Oh, btw I am giving one star because it's the least I can put.. They don't even deserve star haha

As a woman, car repair can be intimidating and it's important to find a shop that I can trust. Kevin and Brian are some of the nicest guys! They are not necessarily the cheapest, but they are really reasonable and great to work with. They won't recommend work that doesn't need to be done. Before they had ever done any mechanical work for us, I had called because I had a flat tire. They came by, while I was gone, and aired up my tire. I came home and it was fixed! NO CHARGE!!! We keep our cars until they no longer work. One has over 150k and the other over 230k and B&M is helping us get every mile out of them! (They are hard to see from the road. I got a lot of work done at Joey's Illusion. All of it was top of the line service from start to finish. I have a 2012 Ram 1500 Lone Star that came with chrome bumpers and grille. Joey and Matt swapped my bumpers for a set to be painted white to match the truck. I also had them do a custom paint job on my grille to match the truck. All of the paint came out perfect and the installation was flawless as well. I also had them install a set of Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks to level out the front end, and they also installed a set of 35x12.50x17 wheels and tires for me. I can't say enough about what a great job these guys did. I will be bringing my truck to Joey's anytime I need work done in the future. Thanks for the great service guys!

Flat rate for labor is $200.00 even if its an easy fix of $19.00 for a new thermostat. I took my car in on a Monday morning to get a professionals opinion as to why my car was overheating. I did not receive a call back until Friday at 4:30pm I immediately returned my missed call at 5pm, but they were already closed, WHICH their sign says they are open from 8:00am to 5:30pm. The following Monday a week after my car was dropped off I call back and ask for the DANNY what the issue is with my car, he did give me an estimate of $250.00 to replace the thermostat, NO WAY!!! Oreilly's has it in stock for $19.00. I told Danny, No don't fix it I'll be there to pick up my car. When i arrive at the shop two hours later (during my lunch break from work) he says there is a fee for $87.00 to put my car back together. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Why am I being charged if no repairs where done to my car? Because it had to sit at his shop for a whole week before they can even look at it & they had to take it apart to find out why it was overheating....BULL! I had been a loyal customer since 2005, he had done major repairs to all my vehicle, so i knew his labor charge is $200.00, but to replace a simple thermostat, sorry i was not going to pay $250.00 when i can replace it myself. I asked nicely to waive the $87.00 since it wasn't my fault that my car was sitting there for a WHOLE week, he has a temper WATCH OUT!! he yelled at me said NO $87.00 and get your car out of here or $250.00 so we can fix it! I said to him fix it & please have it ready within the hour (I was there at 11:30am), he said NO I'll have it ready at 3:30pm, i said fine i will be here at 3pm. I go to pick up my car Danny says to me I was able to knock of $7.00...Thank you Danny & paid the bill.... YOU JUST LOST ONE LOYAL CUSTOMER TODAY!!!

First off, let me give a thanks to Sabien and the rest of the staff at Standard Gear and Transmission! The service was awesome, and the results are incredible! Hopefully my experience will help others with the Cummins / G56 drivetrain. My throwout bearing was making noise for some time, and I continued to drive the truck, as it is my daily driver. Long story short, this destroyed my clutch fork, input shaft, and input bearing. I was on the fence for some time about doing away with the stock dual-mass flywheel and clutch. Sabien recommended a South Bend Clutch OFEK kit, and let me say, it is amazing! The engagement is similar to stock, but very positive. It does not grab, and shifts are silky smooth. The trans was refilled with 30 wt synchromesh, and it now runs smoother and quieter than I ever believed a G56 could. Pedal effort with the new hydraulics is so light that I nearly pushed the pedal through the floorboard when I started the truck for the first time. Gone are the truck's tendency to buck and jerk in reverse, and the noises from the factory clutch. I'm literally having to learn to drive the truck again, as it's manners and sounds are like new. Southwest Autowerks is the most honest, professional and reliable mechic shop in the DFW Metroppex. I highly recommend their services regardless the size of the job to anyone-especially BMW owners. They should be the first stop source for all mechanical needs but especially when you need a second opinion. I took my vehicle (Acura TLX) to have the AC filter, cabin filter and break fluid flushed and was in and out with my two little ones in no time at all!
