Standard Transmission and Gear is located in Ft. Worth, Texas near the historic Ft. Worth Stockyards. We have been in business since 1984.
Our 30,000 square foot facility includes a stocking warehouse, two re-manufacturing areas, and a service facility. The founding principal of providing service for all products that we sell is still in place.

Amazing Experience
First off, let me give a thanks to Sabien and the rest of the staff at Standard Gear and Transmission! The service was awesome, and the results are incredible! Hopefully my experience will help others with the Cummins / G56 drivetrain. My throwout bearing was making noise for some time, and I continued to drive the truck, as it is my daily driver. Long story short, this destroyed my clutch fork, input shaft, and input bearing. I was on the fence for some time about doing away with the stock dual-mass flywheel and clutch. Sabien recommended a South Bend Clutch OFEK kit, and let me say, it is amazing! The engagement is similar to stock, but very positive. It does not grab, and shifts are silky smooth. The trans was refilled with 30 wt synchromesh, and it now runs smoother and quieter than I ever believed a G56 could. Pedal effort with the new hydraulics is so light that I nearly pushed the pedal through the floorboard when I started the truck for the first time. Gone are the truck's tendency to buck and jerk in reverse, and the noises from the factory clutch. I'm literally having to learn to drive the truck again, as it's manners and sounds are like new. Differential Repair
If you have a manual transmission. These are the people you want to have build it. If you have to have your differential gears rebuild or redone here the place to go. Erica is so so friendly and knows, What you need. She is on top of game. John L. Button

Great Service and Quick Turn Around
