This shop is small, but they were very professional. I was told from the dealer i had several oil leaks and it would cost 2,300 dollars to fix my BMW. I heard about hi tech from a friend and they took care of me. They offered to clean off the oil first, and run the engine to verify if i had more than one leak. I didn't! It turns out i had one leak and they fixed it for less than half that. They were honest and up front about everything they told me. There are alot of rip off shops out there. I'm glad i finally found one that is not. Thank you Hi-tech! Justin P. Houston TX

I found the details of this place over the net. Wasn't sure when I first arrived and left my car repairs. But the gentleman (Mr JR) who worked on my car was extremely good at his job. He performed a thorough checkup, found the root cause and fixed my car. I would definitely recommend his workshop for Transmission related issues.

Rental vehicles? Hah, laugh that good bye. They do not cover rental vehicles on warranty work. WORK THAT THEY MESSED UP ON. Sure as hell doesn't make a single ounce of sense to me, coming from a customer who paid for a FULL REBUILD and has already spent a good looking penny on everything. **Stay away from this place. FAR, FAR, AWAY.** That's my warning to you. P.S. They've changed management about four times in the past 6 months. That should've been a major hint to get the hell out of there when I had the chance.

when I asked the price of a transmission rebuilt, they wouldn't give it to me. so I went to another transmission place and they told me how much it would cost, they said about $900 dollars but, since the AAMCO shop was closer to where I lived, I foolishly let them rebuilt my transmission, thinking it would be about a $1,000 dollars. lo and behold, the price they charge me was over $2000 dollars. no wonder the manager refused to give me the cost of a transmission rebuilt in advance. plus, it took longer to rebuild than what they promised. don't go here for your transmission needs. you'll get overcharge.

Came in for transmission service January 2017 and was told it would cost $600 to look at the transmission. I paid cash, got a hand written receipt, and I told Daniel (manager) to call me with an estimate. He calls me for with the initial estimate of $5000 less the $600 so $4400. I told him to wait for repair so I can talk to my wife, and that I’ll call him the next day. I called him the next day, and he said he’s completed repair of the car. I told him I did not agree to start, so he starts lowering the price to $3200. When I go pickup the car the next day, he tells me one of his porters got into an accident with my car (they said it was the other driver’s fault, which other driver said he was the porter’s fault). Long story short, I ask for owner’s contact info and he says it's private. I contacted him 17 times to get my car fixed (January to end of March). Car was left at the shop for over 1.5 months (tires went low). After which I took the car home and also inspected the transmission and found out the transmission dust cover was missing. I came back immediately and Daniel said he would not install the dust cover & claims it was missing before the repair which he also admitted that he would contact me if anything was out of the ordinary during the repair. After 3 months, Universal finally fixed my car due to the collision but with a very bad paint job/bondo work and missing/broken parts which I had to go back/forth to get fixed. Buyer beware of always negotiable transmission prices and no dust cover being re-installed. If they get into a collision with a customer vehicle, they never gave me their owner’s contact information and their shop insurance to make a claim after repeated requests, so I doubt they are insured. It’s also interesting that my $600 initial cash deposit is not included on my final receipt (only the $3200).

Please don't take your vehicle to this particular AAMCO. My daughter and I took our 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe in on the morning of 07/23/14 for an oil change, a free multi-polnt inspection, to check the starter that they had installed Nov 2013 that was still not starting properly but was under warranty, and to check the brakes. We were told by Bob Big that they would check the vehicle and call us back on Thursday 07/24/14 which he did to tell me in this order, brakes need to be replaced, bushing gone on steering wheel, oil change and filter, chopped teeth on starter, flywheel needs to be replaced, and labor. The parts would cost $1254.50 and the labor would cost $1399.30 which included $945.30 to replace the flywheel. I told him we would have to get the vehicle repaired later because we did not have that much money and that we would pick the vehicle up and he said we could not pick the vehicle up because it was not operational, that they could not release it to us that it would be detremental to us and other people on the hwy I told him we only lived approx 3 miles from there and we had driven it there he said they could not release it back to us I told him that we did not have that kind of money so he said how much money do we have I sd the most we had was $300, he sd bring the $300 of which I did. He told me once the parts were paid they would take post dated cks for 6 mo for the labor my daughter and I went back Monday morning to tell him we were not going to have the work done at this time because we could not afford it we were going to have the vehicle towed back to the house he told us to go back home and he would call us after he saw what had been done I told him nothing should have been done because he said the parts had to be paid for first he said he would call us. He called back in about 3 hrs to say that we had to pay $794.90 because they had replaced the flywheel which $945.30 for labor and $149.60 for parts minus the $300 leaving a balance of $794.90 which had to be paid prior to picking up the vehicle I told him we did not authorize him to repair the vehicle he said the $300 was a down pmt on the parts so I sd are you financing the labor he sd no because you broke the contract you are not letting us do all the work I said we did not sign a contract or anything for you to do any work he said that was what we had to pay to get the vehicle. This was on Monday 07/28/14. He called me on Thurs 07/31/14 And said that if we did'nt pay the money that day we were going to be charged $25 a day for storage. I have reported them to the Texas Atty General Ofc, The Federal Trade Commission, The Better Business Bureau,

I am shocked that Bemer Motor Cars auto repair would receive good reviews when the owner/operator Mr. Julian Martinez has done nothing but give me the run around on an estimate to repair my 1972 Mercedes. He had my vehicle for nine (9) business days and could not give me an estimate when he promised the estimate in two (2) business days. After the second business day ended, Mr. Martinez kept telling me to come back tomorrow and he would have an estimate. This went on for the next seven (7) business days until I picked up my Mercedes and took it to another repair shop. With this said, customers "BE AWARE". What Mr. Martinez finally gave me is an offer to purchase my classic 1972 Mercedes for $1,500.00. Something to think about before you trust your investment to Mr. Julian Martinez owner and operator of Bemer Motor Cars / Auto Repairs). May GOD forgive him for the way he has treated me and the treatment he is about to give you.

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.
