If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST AND MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE WHEEL REPAIR PLACE IN HOUSTON!!!! When I first came to this establishment, I was not knowledgeable on wheel/rim repair. Be that as it may, I desperately needed two rims fixed on my Lexus truck after I unexpectedly hit a curb. From the minute I walked in, the staff was courteous and answered all my questions, and trust me, I had a million. Needless to say, they were patient with me and walked me through the entire process that would take place in fixing my rims. EVERY questioned I asked Tracy, the “front desk receptionist” I believe she was; she followed up and asked George, and his abundance of knowledge calmed ALL my concerns. I expressed to Tracy I worked in the medical center so I could get my vehicle after my workday ended, and she said it was not a problem. At the close of my work shift, Tracy called to say my truck was ready. Unfortunately, I expressed to her I didn’t have a way back to the facility. (This is where the MAGNIFICENT customer service takes place.) Tracy told me it wasn’t a problem and arranged transportation for me to get back to the shop. The fact she went above and beyond for me distinguished this place really cares for its customers. In conjunction with their remarkable customer service, the craftsmanship of their repair personnel is superior! The repair they did to my rim erased the fact I ever it a curb. It was like the rims were brand new once again. I can say without a shadow of a dought the exemplary service I received at this shop made me a customer for life! I will undeniably recommend them to my family, friends, and coworkers. Thanks again, Houston Wheel Repair; you all rock!

Today we sat in the shop for 4 hrs. We were not leaving until we got the car. We were not the only hot customers demanding their car either. One was an HPD officer. They are also operating under 2 names. They owners phone was not working. I have never experienced liars like this group. It is a family run business. Father, son and his wife. Con artist. They use a cell phone, no business line in the place. The son was dropping F bombs at me! They do not have any capital to buy parts or basics. We had to go out to buy their parts. You all literally scammed me out of monies. I brought my car there to get a diagnosis on my AC because it was no longer working. The tech ran a scan, then recharged the freon ($270) only to tell me that the compressor was no good. Mike presented me with a quote of $2500 to replace it, parts and labor. From there, I took my car to another shop whom ran a scan and diagnosed the problem to be the pressor sensor. They charged me $340 for the scan, to replace the sensor, and recharge my freon and the AC has been working ever since. They also told me that you all should have know that it was the sensor before recharging the refrigerant. I will never return to your shop because I do not trust you. The same thing happened when Mike was on vacation and I brought my car in to have a water hose replace. You all did a bypass on my auxiliary water pump. I was told that the part had been discontinued and that the bypass was the work around per the dealership. Well, I called the dealership and was told that was not true as well and that bypassing the pump cause problems. When confronted with this information, after coming back from vacation, Mike insisted that only the hose had been changed which is not true. You all are not to be trusted and I will never refer you business.

I just got back from buy two "very expensive" (per the employee helping me) batteries for my truck. Not only was the service slow - like ridiculously slow, but this employee continued to make comments about how expensive my vehicle was to operate and at one point was telling another customer how much my new tires would cost. Then for whatever reason they decide to give me a complentary wheel alignment test and as they guy is pulling my truck out he hits a piece of equipment with my side mirror. Thankfully there was no damage and I never did get my complementary test. Get your Die Hards at another location.

They use crap hardware so your sound is garbage, with engine noise. They bump the price half way through installation. They don't do the work they agreed to do at the beginning. They won't take back merchandise they put in, even if does not live up to expectations. They screwed up other work that already had been done. 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

9415 Fm 1960 West, Houston

Having been a loyal Discount Tire customer for a very, very long time (over 30 years), I couldn’t help but be somewhat heartbroken when I walked into the Discount Tire store at 9415 FM 1960 Rd, West (Houston, TX 77070) to see the lobby practically empty (during rush hour traffic) – with only one customer in the entire place. I suppose long past is the time when they used to have their lobby full, customers bustling around all over the place, because Discount Tire WAS the place we could count on for great customer service. Well, it seems those days are gone – hence the empty lobby. I came into the store to buy two new tires and I wanted them installed on the front, not the rear like they recommend. Why? – Because front tires wear faster and because (to me) new tires in front give better braking and steering control. Moreover, when travelling at highway speeds, what would you prefer – a tire blowout in the front or a blowout in the rear? My money says a rear tire blowout offers a higher chance of survivability than one in the front. Thus, I would prefer to avoid a front tire blowout at all costs. But most importantly though, I wanted the new tires mounted on the front because that was what I wanted. I have read the research and I understand the physics behind placing the tires with the most tread in the rear (rear tire hydroplaning is harder to correct for) and it makes perfect sense. However, I still wanted the new tires mounted on the front (the tread on the other two tires was still good). When placing my request, the salesman would not budge; “the new tires MUST be mounted on the rear” he says. So I walked out and purchased my tires from a tire store down the street (and saved money in the process). Whatever happened to “the customer is always right?” FYI: I was told by a tire salesman recently, that mounting new tires on the rear is a tricky way for tire retailers to push you into replacing all four tires, since “you wouldn’t want to be driving around with a couple worn tires.” Just a quick side note: all of the tire manufacturers and tire retail stores recommend continued tire rotation from the front to the rear and vice versa. Question: doesn’t rotating the tires as is recommended placing the more worn tires in the back, contrary to the spirit of their “mounting the tires with the most tread in the rear” policy?

11-18 -19 My car over heated. Stan, who is a lair and a cheat, told me it was a thermostat. So I greed to have them fix it. Then Stan called claiming the water pump was bad and it is easier to replace the timing belt at this time so I agreed. While they changed the timing belt they mistimed the engine and destroyed it. They bought a replacement engine a “ salvaged” long block. No telling how many mile is on it! I asked that they put the parts I paid for on the salvaged engine. Almost ONE month later, 12-16-19 after repeated calls made by me I was able to pick up my car. I presented the rental car bill and Stan, who is a lair and a cheat said the owner will send me a check, but my car broke after 10 minutes of driving. They tried to claimed it was the exhaust not the engine but eventually cleared the problem. I asked Stan who is a lair and a cheat, if the new parts are on my car and he said no, but I’m going to warranty it for 3yrs 36k miles prorated. Next morning the engine light came on so I took it to the dealer it was there for 3 days while repairing the wiring and sensors that weren’t wired correctly and install missing bolts on the engine! To date my car has still overheated 2X I have exhaust fumes in the cab and most importantly I have not been reimbursed for the rental car and don’t have the parts I paid for.
