Kinney's always seeks to provide the best service possible. Part of that job is to spot problems and get them repaired. When people just do oil changes and NO MAINTENANCE they get big repair bills or at least they get asked to repair the vehicle in order to make it safe to drive. I see reviews where some folks think that being asked to keep their vehicle in GOOD repair is a bad thing.. they are very shortsighted to do that- just fix it when it breaks.

First off, let me give a thanks to Sabien and the rest of the staff at Standard Gear and Transmission! The service was awesome, and the results are incredible! Hopefully my experience will help others with the Cummins / G56 drivetrain. My throwout bearing was making noise for some time, and I continued to drive the truck, as it is my daily driver. Long story short, this destroyed my clutch fork, input shaft, and input bearing. I was on the fence for some time about doing away with the stock dual-mass flywheel and clutch. Sabien recommended a South Bend Clutch OFEK kit, and let me say, it is amazing! The engagement is similar to stock, but very positive. It does not grab, and shifts are silky smooth. The trans was refilled with 30 wt synchromesh, and it now runs smoother and quieter than I ever believed a G56 could. Pedal effort with the new hydraulics is so light that I nearly pushed the pedal through the floorboard when I started the truck for the first time. Gone are the truck's tendency to buck and jerk in reverse, and the noises from the factory clutch. I'm literally having to learn to drive the truck again, as it's manners and sounds are like new. When I was searching for a new transmission shop for my FLEET, I called ROB to come out to our location. I explained what I wanted and in return he explained what he could do as far as time and money. I have had several shops that talk a good game wanting your business and many have received it only to be disappointed in the time frame and the final cost. I’m well aware that each model year and make of vehicle presents a different situation along with the condition of the transmission when received. Rob has always kept me up to date on the status of each the current job. I’m only going to use one word to describe my relationship with Grapevine Automatic, and that is trust.

Took my car in to replace both front and rear gaskets for oil leak and replace the rack and pinions. My car on in their shop for 3 days. On the day I picked up the car and drove off, the car made a loud whistle sound, unable to turn my wheels. I manage to drive back to the shop and the owner had to correct the issue. The rack and pinion was leaking power steering fluids all over. part of the rack and pinions was left loose as well. As for the oil leak, my engine is still leaking oil. They did not made the repair to replace the front and rear gaskets but instead charge me for it. To this day which is 3/31/2025, my engine is still leaking oil. I am filing a law suit to recover my money they stole from me. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! If there are a negative -5 Stars they deserve it.

By far the best Automotive service on the West Side of Fort Worth. Honesty, Integrity and Friendly service are my requirements and Tilden Car Care Exceeds them all.
