Electric car repair service near Chantilly, VA

They have started to much overcharge for all services. Recently i had a oil change service and inspection and they changed cabin filter and charged ke $200. Even dealer would have done for much much less than them.

There are inconsistency between statements for availability and prices given on the website, on the phone, upon arrival, and after service for the same service. The repair were done right but kept haggling with prices (as if originally quoted prices were not effective) before the repair and tried to sell other services after I brought the price down for what was originally stated as a guanranteed price for the service. It was a lot of headache and time consuming.

My car was making a rattling noise when I started it. They did an oil change and said that fixed the issue. Two days later it started doing it again. The shop is always too busy to diagnose and fix problems.If it’s not a basic or straight forward issue they can’t handle it.

I love Census Auto Repair. I have been going there for about five years for various auto repairs and have never been dissappointed. One of the reasons I love them is because of their knowledge about vehicles (I have had several that they have serviced),professionalism and they treat me with so much respect. My wife and I have been taking our cars to Chantilly Automotive for over 5 years now at the recommendation of a co-worker. I have met with Bill, the owner, and Chris and Sonny; each of them has been fair, knowledgeable, and courteous every time we have taken our cars there. I think they deserve much better than the 2 and 1 star ratings they received several years ago. They used to offer a shuttle service to my work a few years ago, but had to cut back when the recession hit. However, my wife and I make it work to take our cars there because they are so reliable.

I have a big jeep and big tires, could find a place around that wasnt' going to charge me hundreds of dollars just to change the valve stems. I got referred to weber tire by a friend and I'm so glad they did. They charge me a quarter the of the price any where else did and they got it done fast! I planned on it being there for a bit so I had my wife pick me up to go to lowes. They were already working on it before I left and by the time I was a lowes, 5 minutes later they called me and said it was done and even cheaper than they quoted me. I'll definitely be returning to these guys!

Contacted Drake and it was very professional and they answered all the questions in a correct manner. All my conversations was with the owner Carl and I got the best quote. I have a 2007 Prius, first I took my car to Manassas Monroe and was quoted shy of $700 for brake pads and rotors. Next I price the parts online which can be purchase for shy of $150.00. Next I called the deal and was quoted at $534.00. Next I called Drake's and talked to Carl, and was given the price of $269.00 plus tax and shop fees which came out to $288.00. He was honest upfront and did show integrity. Yes I would use them again and will recommend to family and friends. By the way driving the car after the brake job felt like a job well done. No squeak, no pulling no jerky stops, just smooth breaking the way it should be. By the way this is my first time ever posting a review for anyone. Tom is the best. He knows cars and shoots straight. Takes care of his customers like family. If he can't fix it, he will send you to the right place or take it there himself. He will get the work done while you are at work in dc; by offering to pick up and drop off your car at the train station.

As far as my experience goes, the mechanic team there is the best. Phil has helped out my entire family and the array of issues our cars have had (Acura, Ford, Infiniti). I went in today to see him for the first time, asked for him by name, and he came right out and had me pull my car up to the bay. He then ran some scans based on the issues I told him and laid it all out for me, advised me on a starburst that I recently got on my windshield (and gave me a company he recommended), and a couple of other issues. I basically harassed him with all my questions/concerns and got straightforward, honest advice and it cost me NOTHING. He was a really big help, and one of the other mechanics even came over and gave some input. Did I mention this was at 4:00pm in the center of McLean? Busy time, and they were that helpful.
