I have been taking my vehicles to dog and garage for close to 30 years as of about 7 months ago they are under new ownership but the service is still just as great as ever. The new owner Ryan picked me up and we went up to the beltway to get my truck that had been wrecked He charged me a fraction of the price of the tow truck bandits that had been called by the police. Even helped get the truck into a tricky position since I have a driveway with a sharp curve and drop offs have to be watched out for. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment.

My husband and I are new to the area and we were looking for a new mechanic. Unfortunately, we needed to find one sooner rather than later when my car wouldn't start one morning. My husband called Antietam Auto because its .6 miles from our house. They gave us the number to a great tow company that they usually work with and I had my car towed there within the next day. By the end of the day, Justin had diagnosed that I needed a new starter and had ordered it right away. He had my car fixed and ready to go by 10am the next day! I was blown away by how fast he fixed my car and by the low price he charged me compared to other mechanics I have gone to. He even did a complementary 27 point inspection of my car which I thought was a very nice touch. I am BEYOND thrilled with my experience with Justin!! I paid 220.00 for my starter to be replaced because my car was having a difficult time starting. Three days later I kept having the same issue of my car not starting. I returned on the same day to have a mechanic look at my car. A mechanic looked at my car and then explained what the problem could be but he didn't have enough time. I was asked to bring my car back two days later. I arrived on time to wait 20 minutes to have a different mechanic look at my car and was told that the original mechanic was too busy to assist me. They were not trying to help me resolve this issue because they were not making money of the visit. I will not return I'd rather travel 45 minutes to an hour than go to a place that's 5 minutes away. Poor customer service especially when you confront them about their work.

I visited this store in January of this year2015. I went in to pick up a alternator and purchase a thermostat for my truck. The man at the counter was just finishing up with a customer. As I stood in line waited for him to call the next customer in line. He just starred at me as to give me a look like I was there for him and he wasn't happy that I was there needing to make a purchase. I sure many of you have met this type before, you know, the person who just stares at you and doesn't bother to say hello or may I help you. So I told him I needed a thermostat and was picking up a alternator. He asked me for the year make and model of the truck, then he wanted the engine size. I told him and I told him the engine was a Cummins(diesel). I told him I didn't need a gasket, but he proceeded to be a know-it-all and said it it required. I have changed this before but wasn't sure so I took the gasket. His whole attitude was like he was God's gift to mechanics at the early age of 20-24.I took the parts and went to the cashier. No sooner than I got there he was walking by saying his good byes to the cashier. Well this would explain his demeanor and customer service attitude. I got home to install the thermostat and alternator just to find as I thought, I didn't need the gasket and the thermostat was the wrong one. The know-it-all turns out to be a fake. Oh and the new alternator was bad.
