But I was surprised when a mechanic told me that the drain plug was stripped and said who ever did that the last oil change must have over tighten it. Wow really i was the one who did it and I’m sure I did not over tighten it. Well he’s recommended to change the whole drain pan because Helicoil is not a permanent fix. I’m a mechanic my self too but instead of changing the whole oil pan I would tap the thread to next size up of the drain plug. I don’t feel this shop is honest people they are only after for unnecessary big job so they can charge you lot’s of money. Righty tighty lefty loosey

They don’t try to upsell you or use some cheep “time pressure” techniques. They honestly look at your car, give you their opinion and very fair price and let you decide what and when you want to fix. I never felt pressured into anything, unlike all other places. I stumbled accross these mechanics through my doughter’s acquaintance and thought to myself at first” another shop we will be testing for a few months untill we get tired of them selling us repairs we don’t need” but do far I have been here about 5 times for various things, I had a very pleasurable experience with both the owner and the young gentleman that works there. Recommend to every body who is tired of being hustled by a money hungry & commission driven people.
